Tiberian Sun - Constant crashes during game

I play on a windows 7 laptop, sometimes with people playing on macs, we rarely finish a game because it crashes. Below are the examples of the various crashes we get:

 

- A pop up box appears saying 'Tiberian Sun has encountered a problem and cannot continue'

 

- A box comes up saying 'Reconnection Error'

 

- One persons game just freezes and they can see everything moving but can't click/ do anything (minimising doesn't work)

 

Help with any of these issues would be greatly appreciated, at the moment we rarely manage to finish a game.

Tiberian Sun has encountered a problem and cannot continue

 

Please upload the except.txt file from the person that received this messages so we can look what happened, you can find it in the game folder

That happens sometimes, no fix available for it. AI players and lag seem to raise the chance for this to happen

That sounds like he went into the options menu in-game but the menu is invisble. Try a different renderer in TS-Config or don't go into the options menu
