Where to find the infantry sprites in the files?

First of all sorry that this is in the wrong section but I couldnt select the modding section.

My problem is that I cant find the infantry and tank sprites in the Red Alert files. Does anyone know where there are? shoudlt they be in the "bit" folder?

Infantry should be in a file called hires.mix and tanks are in a file called conquer.mix (which is inside main.mix).

You can open these files with the program XCC Mixer.

all I see no matter what I do is black images and black images files when I should be getting either the icon for the unit or the picture on the unit on a terrain. I don't know how to fix this and I have the same problem with these files for tiberium dawn

You have to choose a palette file in the XCC mixer.
