Are you using the full single player version? Does it also happen with the mini multiplayer version?
The red alert crash was related to cnc-ddraw + compatibility modes. Can you check in your game folder if there are any modes set for c&c95.exe?

it's crashing somewhere, but not in the game itself.
Are you using our download or unpatched first decade/ultimate collection?
Try to disable cnc-ddraw in the options and see if it works then. Also update your graphic drivers
