I think he's asking if he can continue to use the XWIS downloads of Ra2 and YR and still play cncnet. The answer is yes, just run the cncnet installer into the ra2 directory and you are good to go.

Actually, your problem sounds a bit different. I can see the ready/launch game button and persistent perfectly. My issue is only a small one. In the chat lobby, not when creating a game/joining a game room. Just at the top where it says '100 people online' or w/e the last few letters go across the game drop down menu (but is still readable).

Running this and everything seems to be working fine, have yet to test against another player though. One small problem is: at the top of the lobby the number of players online runs across the drop down menu where you can select different games. Also i would suggest having build off ally and persistent lobby checked as standard when creating a game.

I can't speak for previous events/prizes especially that old... But it took me a while to get confirmation that there were prizes available for this. They will be given out.

I don't think anyone is working on a full standalone RA2 release. But on the YR client there is an option for Ra2 cassic which converts the tech trees and build times etc to what they are on RA2. Not sure how it different to the original Ra2 tbh.

I'm just going on what others have said- i haven't had a chance to play it. Whats the difference in gameplay then? Between the RA2 mode and actual Ra2?

RA2 is kind of already implemented through the YR client.

They can also be ones that are full (the host has set the maximum number of players allowed) or ones where the host has set a password. However, it can be misleading. I think there needs to be a clearer way (other then clicking on the hosted game) to differentiate between a game that has started and is therefore locked, and ones which are either full or have a password set.
