8 player 2v2v2v2 (also made 4 player ffa versions, check download links below) Mysterious glowing pyramids have been uncovered in a hidden valley far out in the desert. The research teams have gone missing. - Garrison the pyramids at the corners to start looting them for money. It will continually spawn a money create after some time. - Destroy the four pyramids and you remove the protective shield around the big pyramid in the center. Destroy the big pyramid and you might awaken something that may be better left asleep. There are a couple different versions for this map. A normal version, a version without the curse. And a version that has my rebalance mod. Rebalance Mod: ALL Walls can be placed further away and build longer. Transport Hovercrafts cannot crush infantry/sandbags/fences. To prevent them from getting stuck. ALLIED Tank Destroyer is slightly faster, stronger has more range and does more damage against infantry and buildings.[video1][video2] Guardian GI is slightly stronger and faster. Tanya is slightly faster. Harrier is $200 cheaper and repairs quicker Black Eagle is also $200 cheaper and also repairs quicker. Is stronger, faster and does additional damage against heavy armor.[video1][video2] Robot Tank is slightly stronger. Patriot Missile shoots 2 missiles but reduced damage. Grand Cannon requires double the power. SOVIET Tesla Tanks can now shoot on the move, will fragment on units and look much cooler, especially elite. Apocalypse Tank can now shoot on the move. Tesla Trooper is slightly cheaper and has more range. Flak Trooper is cheaper and does more damage when its elite against air. Kirov Airship is faster, drops bombs earlier. YURI Brute is slightly faster. Boomber Sub shoots 1 missile, but shoots faster. Chaos Drone now shoots a grenade with a small radius to gas units. Similar to a Flak Track. Magnetron can no longer lift harvesters. Psychic Dominator has extra delay before it activates. Open the map with a text editor to see the details of all the changes. Actually since I posted that I too had a sound issue. No crash, but some sounds were simply not working. It seemed all the sounds from the expansion pack didn't work. Such as the Guardian GI voicelines or deploy. Or any of the other units who got voicelines with yuri's revenge. It was however not map related. As it happend to all the maps. Removing and reinstalling the game and cncnet fixed it though, but it might happen again. Also there was a sort of crackling sound for the ambiance sounds, it leaves me a bit worried.

So, long ago I modded my own maps. Back in 2002 or something. So I know at least a little of how things go. Or I'd like to think so at least. But i'm lost now. I'm creating a map with FinalAlert 2 Yuri's Revenge and wanted to create some custom lamps for illuminating the map precisely as I wanted. So I thought I would just clone a already existing lamp change its lighting values and add it to the [BuildingTypes] list. So I could use in the editor and have my map look all nice and pretty. But... in FinalAlert it will only show up as a allied powerplant. It has the name in the sidebar of the lamp but when you drag it on the map its a allied power plant. Seemly in working condition too. Since that ive tried to do other things like cloning the allied barracks and only changing the cost and name, and when I in-game build it's invisible and only takes up 1 square, let alone it seems to be a weird hybrid of a prismtower and a barracks... What is going on its driving me nuts! I don't want any special units, I just want lamps. How hard can that be?
