CNCNET Crashed. Upon re-installation. I get "cannot find specified file"

I need help with this issue. The game crashed and when I tried to reload it, I realized that it had been wiped from my computer completely. So when I tried to re-install CNCNET, it would update and then before I could get to the login page, I received the error..."cannot find specified file". I cannot get on CNCNET now, please help me out. Thank you.

Something is blocking the updater then, check the security programs you have installed

The file that it cannot find is the cncnet5.exe file. Ive changed permissions, stopped my antivirus....tried reinstalling. The cncnet5.exe file literally disappears out of the cncnet folder.

Sounds like your antivirus is sand boxing it. disable your antivirus and then dl and re install it.  then install avanst or avg. they aren't as paranoid of every .EXE file on your pc as alot of these paid anti virus memory hog apps

Yes, a sandbox could cause such problems
