Reconnection Error: Can anything be done?

I am getting regular reconnection errors when playing Tiberian Sun. I tend to play with the same friend and there are no cheats or modifications except the odd custom map.

 

1) Does anyone know what can cause them?

2) Does anyone know what can be done about them?

 

I have tried on Window 7 and 10 while my friend is using Windows 8. I did a clean install of Windows 10 and then installed the C&C.net version of the game.

 

I am using the TS-DDraw rendering option as it is the only one that works for me, but it does seem to be working very well.

 

I have attached the SYNC0.txt file that was generated during the last reconnect. I'm not sure if anyone can read it, it doesn't make any sense to me.

 

I would appreciate any suggestions in order so that we can continue to play this fantastic game!

A bad map can cause such problems, AI players also raise the chance for it, there is no fix for it yet

Thanks for the reply. The problem can occur on any map and we aren't using AI players. For me, it looks like something else is the issue.

Some do it on purpose, but something is causing this in legit games.

Thanks Humble. I try and pay a bit more attention to which maps I am playing on when the errors occur. Maybe I am wrong about it happening on all maps.
