MonkeyDrone Posted March 29, 2016 Posted March 29, 2016 Hi everyone, Totally new to the mapping scene and I am lost. There are a few things I would like to achieve. Faster Ore Growth (Faster Respawn) from the ore respawner object Indestructible Oil Derrick Any help would be appreciated, thank you. Any help on understanding INI and editing it would be greatlly appreciated. I am totally lost with the INI part, but the triggers part I have a very rough idea of how things work and I will be practicing that a lot more. Thanks again
MrMoo232 Posted May 16, 2016 Posted May 16, 2016 Give "Tib-ed" a try - http://www.tibed.net/ Makes basic INI editing easy. When saving your changes, make sure you select "save to map" or you might end up modding the whole game, thus breaking your ability to play online.
Messiah Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 Faster Ore Growth (Faster Respawn) from the ore respawner object Indestructible Oil Derrick Open your map with a text editor and add following to your map: ;makes oil derrick invincible [CAOILD] Immune=yes ;time in minuts between ore growths, was 3 [General] GrowthRate=1
Milkey Wilkey Posted May 17, 2016 Posted May 17, 2016 hmm, a question arose: can I add duplicating sections in rures.ini? like, if I want to change infantry, but don't want to change existing infantry code, can I just put another infantry identifyer at the end of the file and write down changed values?
