Trying to Install CNCNET YR - Error

Hey guys, I have downloaded and run the install for YR on this PC but i get an error when trying to load CNCNET.

 

It says:

 

"unhandled error has occured in your application"

"access to the path..... denied"

Hello - the error message shows what's wrong, access to the path denied.

 

Either run as administrator, or move the Red Alert folder into My Documents and try starting it there.

Why wouldn't it work in that folder tho? (Out of curiosity...)

Program files requires administrator privileges to make changes, if you didn't run the client as such it would fail.

copied ra2 file into my documents - ran cncnet YR launcher - worked fine.

As a rule, don't install pre-Generals C&C games  in Program files. It just gives problems since the programs don't get access to write in their own folder.
