Possible NAT error....

Question

Posted

Hello I've just downloaded and installed CnCNet as the instructions stated. I've forwarded the 8054 port however I get a pop-up saying that there is a possible NAT error every 30 secs. If I hover my mouse over the CnCNet tray icon then I can see 4 people playing but I'm not receiving any packets from them. I've tried disabling my firewall, re-enabling my firewall and setting exceptions but still no dice. I have a net gear router WG someting or other. Any Help would be appreciated.

Sometimes the NAT error message is a little faulty but it is correct most of the time. Make sure port 8054 is correctly forwarded to your computer using the UDP protocol.

For me, when everything's set up correctly but I still don't see any players in my Preferred Players list, it's usually fixed by playing a quick skirmish game while cncnet is active.
