bask185 Posted December 13, 2016 Posted December 13, 2016 I am currently modding TS but there are 2 things which I cannot find. After the TS patch, you could build several wall sections at once. In the rules.ini there still says that a wallsegment costs 50 credits. But in-game it still costs 250. I have been snooping through several MIX files but for me it is a needle in a haystack. Howcan? I cannot find the values of tiberium. As we all know, tiberian sun always had one certain issue and that is the ever lasting lack of resources. For now I increased the harvester's capacitiy by ~50% and I increased the harvy's speed by 2. But I'd really like to actually increase the value for tiberium so I can get more out of the fields. Howcan?
Allen508 Posted December 22, 2016 Posted December 22, 2016 The rules.ini I think are for singleplayer missions only now. Also check the firestorm.ini. You may also want to see if you have a spawn.xdp. This may be used as well.

If rules.ini only applies to singleplayer now, how can I make a mod for LAN/skirmish games? P.S. - sorry for the necro

jlhill17 Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 Hmm... I tested my rules.ini changes in a skirmish match, but none of my changes were applied. Am I missing something?
FunkyFr3sh Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 put the file directly into your game folder, not inside of a .mix file and it should work fine
jlhill17 Posted October 9, 2018 Posted October 9, 2018 That's where I put it. Turns out I was trying to change some hard-coded values. I tried changing other things, like the minigunner weapon, and that worked. What I wanted to edit was the cost of concrete wall. After poking around online some more it turns out a patch made the cost of wall hard-coded. I'll just clone it and make my changes that way. Thanks for your time!
