  1. Personally I'd say that is a unit is only good for 'humiliating' an opponent, then something about it is not working, as the only reason it is 'humiliating' is because it is not effective in normal gameplay. If we're talking about balance, then yes, the game is massively imbalanced compared to modern e-sports RTS games. I also think some balance issues are more obvious than others, and could be fixed, but the problem is everyone will have an opinion, so I would in no way advocate any change to the game for that reason. Off the top of my head: 1. Fix disc man splash damage on explosions. 2. Rocket men are absolutely useless against infantry. Why? They are firing a bazooka ffs. Either improve damage vs infs, or improve armour. 3. Flamers could do with being a bit less vulnerable to inf, and a bit more vulnerable to vehicles. 4. Tik tanks need to be more effective in deployed mode to make them more viable as base defence. Titans are too good imo. 5. Banshee damage to small buildings. 6. Wolverines and Attack Buggies either need better anti-inf, or to be cheaper. 7. Stealth tanks definitely need to be buffed. 8. Scrap build limit on hijackers!
  2. Depends how many tips you want lol. On a very basic level, thing about these things: https://cnctiberiansun.wordpress.com/10-tips-to-become-a-better-player/ Micro - check the hotkeys list I have included in the blog.
  3. Yo Spo0ky, long time no see! I don't play any more, but was reading the forums and saw your post. How's it going? Beef - any other logs from the 99-01 era you were using? Not many people on here were around back then, but I remember quite a few old players You weren't 'beefy' were you? Did you play FS?

    Harasment

Unfortunately Nodrescue has always been like this and will never change. Just about everyone in the TS community knows of him, and most try to avoid him where they can. Sorry to see you have attracted his attentions. As a related point, can I ask, as people can essentially create any login they like on CnCNet, can we be sure this is the 'real' nodrescue (Pete), or could it just be someone else trolling under his username?
  5. If anyone is in any doubt, richrocka is Chris Freitag, aka the proven cheater with multiple accounts on this forum, and a well-known vendetta against Sean. Please don't let his post above detract from any dealings with Sean as he (Sean) is a great guy who has given up an awful lot of his time to help support this community. I think the points about the laser and disruptor glitch crashing games is a good one. If this can be fixed that would be a major step forward. Personally, I don't see the 'competitiveness' thing with ladders. 1v1s are 1v1s are 1v1s, and the ladder will only be dominated by the same 3 or 4 people time as they always have been. That is of course just my personal opinion [P.S. Amokk, I didn't realise you played Dawn of War. You play DoW2 at all? -- I don't want to derail this thread so we can carry this on in PM if you like]
  6. Try some of the FS maps. Tib forest, duelling islands etc etc.
  7. What login are you using on TS Willow?
  8. I think you will find they were deleted because Christopher is a proven cheater, and has been responsible for spreading cheats across the TS community. He's not quite the 'saint' he pretends to be on here. You will also be interested to know that I check the TS section of xwis most days, plus there are multiple ra2 admins who also read the TS forums who have closed and deleted topics in the past, so stop making conspiracies where there are none eh. To return to the main topic, I have to thank everyone involved with the cncnet project for their hard work.
  9. Hi guys, great job with CnCNet. Really like what you've done. I admit I only played 2-3 games so far, but I have enjoyed my experience so far. A couple of small suggestions... 1. 'Leave game' button in game lobby should really be on the LEFT hand side, with 'Accept / Ready' on the RIGHT. At the moment these buttons are counter intuitive as the standard for user interface is for backwards (left) and forwards (right). 2. Currently there is a way to see the main lobby from within the game lobby. Is it also possible to see the other games that are up? Thanks, Mike
  10. 3 banshees if your opponent doesn't repair it^. If they do, you need 4. However it's worth noting nonetheless. Hijackers bombing is where it's at tbh -- properly old school tactics, but more from the FS era where blue tib maps were more prevalent. Useful tactic on mods imo. Regarding the missile thing, there are a number of different schools of thought on how to 1-shot an mcv, and so I included both.
  11. New players like to play Nod, but Nod are actually harder to use, as GDI have a lot of advantages, especially early on. By the way guys, if you want hints and tips on Tiberian Sun, I wrote an extensive guide some years back now, which you can download from my website: http://mjryder.net/wp-content/uploads/2013/07/Tiberian-Sun-guide-v4-c-Mole40k-2013.pdf You can also view the guide in its online format here: http://cnctiberiansun.wordpress.com/
  12. Sorry about the advertising there Tore - I've just been going through all the TS-related forums I can to try and do my best to get the community together as best I can. I think my fellow site coordinator Sean may have been in touch with your site already about affiliation, and I'm sure we'd accept it if you were also willing. I have to say I wasn't aware of the downloads your site already hosted - clearly players should use those if they are superior. I just want to keep the game I love alive for as long as possible! If anyone feels they can help with TS community-related tasks, please do get in touch with me. Many thanks, Mole40k [by the way... I have a TS online multiplayer guide in pdf form if your site is interested in hosting it.]
  13. Hi my name is Mike. Some of you may know me from TS and the Strike-Team forums as Mole40k. I come on behalf of a new TS community site that’s recently opened up called CNC:EVO. Having been long disappointed with the lack of support provided for TS by the server operators, and being long fed up with the fractured and disunited community of our beloved game, we have set up CNC:EVO to finally set about trying to make a difference. CNC:EVO is run by a group of like-minded players working hard to unite the community and provide the support needed to sustain and hopefully grow the game we all love so much. I come therefore in peace, in the hope that we might firstly, come to some sort of affiliation arrangement with your site. I come secondly to provide important links and contact information for the TS Community that many of your members may be unaware of. Did you know for instance, that Tiberian Sun is now a LEGAL, FREE DOWNLOAD? If anyone has any questions, please feel free to email me at [email protected], or find me on the various forums I frequently visit including Stike-Team, and of course CNC:EVO. Thank you for your time, Mole40k Important Links: TS Free Legal Download (full game ~1.4gig): http://www.fileplanet.com/210105/download/Command-&-Conquer:-Tiberian-Sun-(Full-Game) TS Free Legal Download (multiplayer only – 50meg): http://xwis.net/downloads/Tiberian_Sun-0.0.0.exe Strike-Team.net (current TS server operators): http://www.strike-team.net CNC:EVO Forums: http://www.cncevo.info/forum/
