  1. You have to just know what change you have made. I made all of the missions using stock C&C-RAED. I knew what change I had made.
  2. Hex edit of the .exe. All of the structure and units names were in english I just put in the needed names. I also hex edit it to read the needed mix files to display the right buildings and units. I couldn't get the Con Yard to work though. If I tried to replace any part of the Con Yard C&C-RAED would not work.....
  3. I let it go. I knew you would see it and say something.
  4. I don't think so. The bit of recording I've done evey thing is fine.
  5. I saw it too but let it go..... I know better. Maybe...
  6. Hohooooo been a while eh? XD Oh yeah.... likely a year or so.
  7. That looks strange to me. Its not the contrast / brightness / hue . Its the fact I'm looking at real RA1. I'm so darn use to Red Dawn....
  8. Put a RA1 building/unit into C&C95? Yes. Just start with the raprconv.pal and end with ccprconv.pal
  9. No blog of any kind. Every things is by "word of mouth". You can do some cool thing by putting codeing into a map.
  10. Should. As long as you can find a "Load Palette" option. I have Paint Shop Pro 6 and it is Colors > Load Palette than find the ra1_game.pal from the link above and make sure Maintain Indexes is marked. I also think I seen away to do this in GIMP when I had it as well.
  11. I know of Hard AI v1.0 http://ra.afraid.org/html/downloads/mods-2.html After some seaching I did find Smart Rules. http://www.cncgames.com/redalertrules.shtml This sounds like what you may be looking for. However both won't work with Red Dawn. If you try to use it with Red Dawn it will replace the Red Dawn rules and make it Red Alert. You can open the Red Dawn's rules crank up the computer by messing with the AI Controls. I would start with lowering AttackInterval= and AttackDelay=. Both are at 5. The BaseSizeAdd= could be larger as well. If Hard AI v1.0 or Smart Rules is what you were looking for it is likely that make the same changes to the Red Dawn rules to boost the AI. Thanks a lot!
  12. Nyerguds has the print screen way to do screen shots. http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/cncstuff/cc1_ra1_screenshots.html This is how I do mine. Old school.
  13. The Adv Light Tank is the C&C95 Stealth Tank with the turret from the RA1 Light Tank. The Chemical Tank is just a recolor of the Flame Tank.
  14. I'm fine with how it is. It's nice to know that every thing is going to one place. This way I can't lose any thing. That should work just fine do do the convert. I haven't uncheck the "Use for conversion" since 2001ish. I kinda forgot about it...
  15. I may have left something out. Go to View than Palet and make sure that "Use for conversion" is check marked. I updated my past post to add this. When you use the ccpwconv.pal The black background and yellow remap will be purple when viewing C&C95 shps. When you Copy as PCX It sould put out all frames of the shp In the "second file browser position" Now open one of those frames and make sure it looks the same as it did in XCC Mixer, purple background and remap. If it is Go to step 3 You can use XCC mixer to convet all of the frames at once. First purppals-xcc.mix. This is purple palette that XCC mixer can use. I placed it in my RA1 folder http://www.mediafire.com/?39vbp47g887ttuc When you Copy as PCX all of the PCXes will have what ever palette you were using with XCC Mixer saved in them. When you Copy as PCX with the ccpwconv.pal (For C&C95) than Copy as SHP with the raprconv.pal (For RA1) XCC Mixer will do the matching nearest colour for you. No need for any image editor. I have never messed with "second file browser position" I've hidden that window since 1999 and left it that way. All my Copy as *BLANK* go to my XCC Folder.
  16. If you put the purppals-xcc.mix into your RA1 folder that I sent to you do the below in XCC Mixer 1: Go to View - Palet - RedAlert - ccpwconv.pal 1a: Go to View - Palet and make sure that "Use for conversion" is check marked. 2: Now go to the C&C 95 unit/building you want to convert and Copy as PCX. 3: Go to View - Palet - RedAlert - raprconv.pal 4: The unit/building you Copy as PCX will be in the "second file browser position" as PCXes. 5: Go to unit/building 000.pcx and Copy as SHP 6: In the "second file browser position" you will see unit/building.shp It now it will be in the RA color format. Updated!
  17. sca07ea maybe the hardest of the "Ant Missions".
  18. Just take the units from Red Dawn. They are C&C 95 render coverted to RA1.
  19. I would like to recreate some of missions from the C&C Gold campaigns but it is a lot of work. I did do a few. Two in the GDI campaign and 2 more at the end of the Ant Missions. Plus a larger Under Siege from Covert Ops. If you have a fav mission maybe I could remake it and get it into the next one. I know how many have downloaded it so I know it is doing okay. When it was at Megauploads it had around 1500 to 2000 downloads and at mediafire has it at 1500+ for the basic Red Dawn. As always numbers only tell half the story. Feedback is the other half and good to have.
  20. Also check marking Disable Desktop Composition may help.
  21. You have to go to ‘View” now “Palet” than “Red Alert” use the temperat.pal it list. If nothing is listed for Red Alert you need to set the Red Alert Directory. You can also use the Ctrl + { and Ctrl + } to quickly switch pallets.
  22. Your more likely to have better luck with the Red Alert 1 that http://redalert1.com/ has. It is made to work on Win 7 with out doing any work at all.
  23. Ture. You can click and drag it to the right to see it but with 1.47 both are open at start up no mater if you hide it than exit. With 1.46 it stays hidden if you put it that way at the next start up.
  24. Very odd indeed. First I'm using the older 1.46 and the XCC Mix Editor has been updated but the interface is still the same and is working fine for me but the XCC Mixer 1.47 is driving me crazy. It has two columns opens at start up. In the screen below you can see that mine only has one column open at start up. Off hand I see that it is listed as a not Encrypted and is Tiberian Sun format mix. Also in the screen shot below. I'm not sure way it is this way. Some times mixes get messed up. What I would do is just...well start over. What I would do is go to one of my install of Red Alert or Red Dawn and copy a good mix file. Rename it what you need it to be than delete evey thing but for one file. Now click on "Options" and make sure it is "Red Alert" and Encrypted is check marked. Now compact first than save. Now reload all your sounds into it and check the "Options" again and if they are good compact first than save the mix. If this did not fix it I'm attaching the older XCC_Utilities_1.46. Unistall the 1.47 you have now than install 1.46. XCC_Utilities_1.46.zip
