Wow, this sounds really good! If only we could have seen that done in the actual game!

How about a viceroid virus? If a viceroid touches a soldier, they eventually become viceroids themselves. In order to complete the mission, you have to find all the viceroids and destroy them (or maybe capture them with viceroid capturing technology). There could be different levels of viceroids... they evolve throughout the game from small to giant. Ever see Evolution? Remember the beginning with small creatures... then at the end, a football-sized monster?

Yeah. It can be like survivor mode where you have to constantly maintain your base and keep those vehicles/soldiers coming... while the number of zombies coming will increase. Plus, the zombies will not have weapons. So, you won't have to worry about long-distance damage.

Are you referring to the cursor not changing when it's over a stealth unit? What about Tiberian Sun[/]? That's something to keep in mind Thanks.

I looked at it. Interesting. I'll have to try those sometimes.

The build order usually varies by mission or opponent. From what I've heard, the recommended set up is... power plant, barrack, refinery, refinery, advanced power plant, weapons factory, then whatever you want. I could be wrong.

It's more complicated than a simple rock/paper/scissors game. Instead of 3 variables where only one can beat the other, there's actually a lot of varibles. It's just a matter of knowing which is good for what.

You have a point there. There are some people out there that have learned to master things that may seem useless to the rest of us. I've seen the least played most hated character in fighting games used by only one person and they play these characters extremely well. It's just a matter of dedication and skill. I've seen someone do an engineer rush to a point where it was so overwhelming that they overcame their enemy.

I read about this a couple months ago when I was reading up on Command & Conquer: The Ultimate Collection. Smart way of determining if you're doing something illegal. I wonder what would happen when Red Alert 2 becomes freeware?

If you were banned, then don't take it out on the rest of us... take it up with the site admin directly. Send him a private message or an email.

It was Nyerguds that led me to this website. I heard that Tiberian Dawn was free for download and came across his website for the game download. Then from there, I came to this website. I've been here since.

I'm looking forward to the new Penguins of Madagascar movie. The same for Minions. I'm also a fan of 3D animated movies as well. What about anime? I like anime.

It could be because of EA dooming the Command & Conquer series. I just found out about CnCNet a month ago when I was reading around the internet about the game for a friend of mine. I'm now playing the game again. Perhaps, it's just a quiet phase? Maybe, we need more mods that are more interesting and very different than being only military-like?

Speaking of the Moon... did you know that aliens invaded the Moon on July 20, 1969? Thats what they claim It's a fact... alien: belonging to a foreign celestial body (or planet) If someone from another planet landed on Earth, that person would be considered an alien. If we were to visit another planet, would they be aliens? No, we would be the aliens. So, when Neil Armstrong stepped on the Moon on July 20, 1969, he became the Moon's first alien. By the way, "NEIL A" spelled backwards is "ALIEN".

This applies to all Command & Conquer games... What are some common in-game triggers that can be avoided due to AI having their own rules that they always follow? For instance, the airstrikes (in Tiberian Dawn) always aim for the northernmost unit/structure on the map. So, you can just send a soldier somewhere above the rest of your units/structures... and not worry about the rest. Another would be in Generals where the GLA won't fire their Scud Storm until you earn $5,000. As long as you keep the total earnings under $5,000, you won't be attacked. Are there any others?

Ever notice how they've been making zombie versions of some FPS games? What if they were to do that for Command & Conquer? I can see this being implemented as a mod into Yuri's Revenge as they already had the mind-control concept in place. Think of those zombie movies and television shows... Ever notice how they turn people into zombies after scratches or bites? That could be something where infantry become infected (depending on the armor or body protection suits they wear) and become your enemy. Ever notice how it takes a certain number of zombies to overcome vehicles? Cars can't move with 10 or 15 zombies. Trucks can't move with 15 or 20 zombies. And so on... That could be implemented where for every one person that becomes infected, 2 more spawn elsewhere. Plus, they don't follow any strategy... making them unpredictable.

What's the purposes of those badges? What do they do? I was reading through FAQs, tips, and cheats for Command & Conquer games. One that I came across was "Hack: All Badges" where you modify the SKIRMISHSTATS.INI file... BestWinStreak = 999 Challenge = 0 Honors = 999999999999999 LastHouse = China LoyalGames = 999 Nuke = 100 PPC = 100 SCUD = 100 WinStreak = 999 Wins = 999 ... and 23 different map files "xxx.map_4=100". What do they do for you?

Ever see Apollo 18? What other good movies are there that takes place on the moon and have a good sci-fi, fantasy, fubar, and/or fantasy theme?
-
I heard about that movie. I'll have to check that out.

Yeah, I saw that. I just started playing the game last night. Got to mission 4. Those good old days! I've played Tiberian Dawn, Red Alert, Tiberian Sun, Red Alert 2, Renegade, and Generals (plus their expansion packs) several times. Last game was Generals a couple years ago. After finding CnCNet, I decided to go back and play it all again.

When you say "fog of war", what do you mean by that? I've seen different kinds of fogs of war. 1.) It's completely black unless you visit that area, then it's exposed and remains exposed. One example would be in the old Westwood Command & Conquer games. 2.) It's completely black unless you visit that area, then it's exposed. However, it dims when you leave the area showing the last seen visual of that area... but not completely black. One example would be in Generals. Is it one of those two or are there other types of fogs of wars you're referring to?

Gotcha! Thanks!

When the Soviets decided to fight back in Red Alert 2, that's probably what changed history again. Perhaps, Westwood intended to do something for Red Alert 3 that would include some hint of Kane... until EA took over and forgot about Kane in Red Alert. This always happens in television and movies too. When they make sequels or spin-offs, they forget about the original intention... and sequels/spin-offs make no sense. Hey, let's make Red Alert as a prequel to Tiberian Dawn! We'll include Kane and Nod!!! *several years later* *forgets about Kane in Red Alert* Hey, let's make a sequel to Red Alert!!!
