  1. There are reports that the client must be launched as admin. We are currently going to rollback to 8.32.0. The same installer link should work: https://downloads.cncnet.org/CnCNet5_YR_Installer.exe
  2. Can you also try using the installer? https://downloads.cncnet.org/CnCNet5_YR_Installer.exe

  4. # Client Release 9.0 ## Client Updates This is a major update behind the scenes in that the client is now built on .NET7 framework. This means that the client is no longer compatible with older operating systems like Windows XP. You must be on Windows 7 SP1 or later. **Please try to re-install if the update fails:** https://downloads.cncnet.org/CnCNet5_YR_Installer.exe ## End-User Requirements Windows requirements: * The [.NET 7.0 Desktop Runtime](https://dotnet.microsoft.com/en-us/download/dotnet/7.0/runtime) for your specific platform. The XNA build additionally requires: * [Microsoft XNA Framework Redistributable 4.0 Refresh](https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=27598). Windows 7 SP1 and Windows 8.x additionally require: * Microsoft Visual C++ 2015-2019 Redistributable [64-bit](https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x64.exe) / [32-bit](https://aka.ms/vs/16/release/vc_redist.x86.exe). Windows 7 SP1 additionally requires: * KB3063858 [64-bit](https://www.microsoft.com/download/details.aspx?id=47442) / [32-bit](https://www.microsoft.com/download/details.aspx?id=47409).
  5. The installer uses Inno Setup. We've recently updated the installer to Inno 6 (from 5) which no longer supports Windows XP... As Grant also said, the client itself is on the cusp of moving to .Net7 which also no longer supports Windows XP... Had to make the push sometime. It was a good run.
  6. @Sam-I-amis absolutely correct. This feature is working exactly as intended. The "Block this location from being assigned to a player" setting blocks the AUTO ALLY function from assigning that location. It doesn't block a player from manually assigning that location. That is only done by checking/enabling "Force Random Starts". The instructions that you screenshotted actually describe this:
  7. @Sam-I-amthanks for this. I've logged it as an issue: https://github.com/CnCNet/xna-cncnet-client/issues/448
  8. Open the Cncnet launcher, use it to change to renderer, then close and open the single player launcher.
  9. The Cncnet client can help with that. It installs a few fixes and allows you to use a different renderer to fix some of the glitches. https://cncnet.org/yuris-revenge#download This will install the Cncnet client. You will NOT use it to play the single player campaign. Instead, you can use it to simply launch and change your renderer. Then, you would go back to the normal launcher to play in campaign. The Cncnet client is otherwise used to play online. Download and install the Cncnet client to your game's install path Start the Cncnet client Go to Options and change your renderer to cnc draw Close the Cncnet client Open the normal Ra2 client/launcher Try playing the campaign If it works ok, you're good to go. If not, try to repeat step 3 and try the TS draw renderer. If you need more immediate help, you can always try the Discord here: https://discord.gg/aJRJFe5 Good luck!
  10. What about the "Red Alert 2" checkbox above it? That should be unchecked, too.
  11. Do you have the "No Yuri/No France" checkbox checked?
  12. https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/command-and-conquer/command-and-conquer-the-ultimate-collection The game list on this store listing still includes RA2.
  13. Open the cncnet client and change renderers in the options. Close the cncnet client and open YR normally to play the campaign. I can't say for sure which renderer will work for you as different machines have different results. Hope that helps.
  14. Unfortunately, you cannot buy only RA2. You have to buy the whole collection. https://www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store/command-and-conquer/command-and-conquer-the-ultimate-collection
