Help with Tiberian Sun

Hi!

 

Allright so, I downloaded the Tiberian Sun installer from the Downloads section but I have a problem.

 

The game launches just fine but when I get to the menu & try to click on "New Campaign" it does nothing & I cant click anything else until I press Esc on the keyboard.

 

Anyone else have this issue?

 

Im running on Win 8 x64

 

*EDIT* I got the menus & everything to work! I had to change the rendering

 

Allright but now Ive got a different problem. There is no music & I cant load the Nod campaign in regular TS & I cant load any of the campaigns in FireStorm. All I get is a "Cant read scenario" message. Any help with this will be greatly appreciated!

Where did you get TS? If you got it here: http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=41 then it has no rendering options, campaigns and such should work though.

 

Anywho you can try seeing if this version of TS works fine: http://tore29.com/tsins/TSinstaller-beta9-untested.exe it's a beta version and untested so hopefully it works, if something doesn't please tell me. (Switching NoCD off doesn't work yet in that version)

sounds like you downloaded the mini multiplayer installer

Hi!

 

At first I downloaded this: http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?action=downloads;sa=view;down=41 but I didnt manage to get that to work.

 

I then tried this download as told in some other threads: http://tore29.com/tsins/TSinstaller3-beta8r3.exe

 

I set the render to "IE-ddraw" & that got the game to work, if a bit laggy when scrolling the map sometimes but I can live with that. The thing is now, that I cant load any other campaigns than the GDI campaign in regular TS & none of the campaigns in FS. When I downloaded the game I ticked the "Download Campaigns" box, so it should have downloaded them as well.

Beta 9 should have all campaigns working.

Allright, so I tried installing it with the Beta 9 version instead but I still have the same problem. I really dont know why this is happening. :C

Hmm, did you check the option to download campaigns?

Yes. I have the same problem as before, I can only load the GDI campaign but not the Nod or FS ones.

What is the size of maps01.mix, maps02.mix and maps03.mix ?
