Creating RA Mix files

Can any one help me with this i have been trying to make mix files using xcc for RA

 

what i have been doing is using the Mix editor and in option seting it to RA how ever the game doesnt read this file at all

what did you NAME the file? RA only reads extra mixfiles with names that start with "sc".

Also, RA can perfectly read C&C1 mix format.

Thanks that was my problem

 

i named the file expand**.mix assuming because there was expand01 and 02.mix it worked like the Tiberian sun mix files and not the Tiberian Dawn ones.

 

 

How is the best way to add cameos in to the game its just i play the game in DOS and in Windows mode?

no, the expand mixfiles in RA are single filenames. It doesn't accept any more of those.

 

As for cameos, sorry, RA doesn't have good support for those. The only way to do that is by replacing/adding them in lores1.mix and hires1.mix
