Its a false report, you can check to be sure here though. https://www.virustotal.com/
0 cncuser
Thanks for the swift reply! I'm using Avira anti-virus. The website linked gave a 7 / 54 detection rate. You're 100% sure it's safe?
0 Rampastring
It is safe. If you feel like helping us, you could report the file to Avira as a false positive so they'll hopefully fix it.

Every time I try to re-download/update, it keeps getting blocked. Is anyone having the same problem? I have the same problem with Norton with every update telling me it's a 'WS_Reputation'. I have to restore and exclude the file every time. But it's just a false positive because I've been using cncnet.exe and related files for over 5 years now with no problems. I think there's a way to submit the file(s) to the antivirus companies, but I've been too lazy to look into it because it only takes a few seconds to restore and exclude. 0 Rampastring
Norton's WS_Reputation isn't a clear detection though, it's basically just "this file isn't common among Norton users, so it could be malware, let's quarantine it just to be sure". In other words, it's a great way for Norton to screw over small developers like myself =|
0 cncuser
Thanks for the feedback guys! I restored the file, but it keeps getting flagged as a Trojan every time I start the game. I don't think I can submit it to Avira or flag is as safe either. My solution is to disable Avira, start the game, and enable Avira again. A lot of hassle, but it works for now. 0 Allen262
Your anti-virus should have exception/ignore list. Add the lanucher to it and your anti-virus will quit messing with it.
0 cncuser
The exception list is not easy on Avira, but I got it to work now. Thanks guys for the help!
