Tiberian Sun Portable drive problems (DLL nonsense)

I'm trying to get Tiberian sun to run from an external drive. I installed the game directly to the drive and then tested it on another computer. The launcher loads, I go into single-player skirmish add an AI and hit play. The lobby closes and a message appears claiming that some DLL files are missing. I downloaded the zip file from one of the admins containing:

BLOWFISH.DLL

Language.dll

wsock32.dll

and I see that everytime I hit play wsock32.dll disappears until I replace it, but of course all that does is replace the file rather than fixing the entire issue.

Any help would be great 'cos this has me stumped! (like every technical problem ever )

This is a classic problem. This is not because of missing DLL files, but rather TS failing to register BLOWFISH.DLL. Try to patch your install with this: http://forums.cncnet.org/index.php?topic=3438.0

Unfortunately the patch doesn't seem to work. It did claim that I lacked some files so I downloaded another patch before I installed the one you gave me.

You are experiencing the blowfish.dll issue.
