Patch255
Someone asked if CnCNet had a IRC. And I said no. I told them I would suggest it... So I am suggesting having a IRC maybe?
0 Nyerguds
Meh. I think we made a similar choice about the site. We GOT a chatbox. People who can open an IRC client can also open a browser. As a matter of fact, I use Opera for both anyway.
0 Irony
The chatbox is more convenient than an IRC anyway.
0 psde
I for one would like an IRC channel for CnCNet - its more convenient for me than a webclient as I have an irc client open all the time (as opposed to a webbrowser). There are ajax web clients for IRC available. Also it would be a lot easier to integrate IRC into the current CnCNet client. Edit: Oh, yeah, and it would be a bit harder for trolls. I encountered a few ones that renamed themselfs after someone (resulting in two people having the same nick) and spamming inline pictures.
