Crimsonum Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 "Unable to open all mix files, insert a C&C CD or see readme.txt for details" I get this error everytime I try to open XCC Editor. I use Windows 7 and yes, I have tried compatibility settings and running as admin. Any help?
0 Tore Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Have you copied all the required mix files (Don't remember which) into the XCC folder?
0 Crimsonum Posted March 31, 2010 Author Posted March 31, 2010 Eh? I thought it opened them from the folder I installed C&C1 into? I honestly don't remember throwing any mix files into the XCC folder before Besides, it worked a few days back when I tested it (after installing on this PC). I haven't removed anything from the XCC or the C&C1 folder.
0 Tore Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 Hmm, weird it works for me and I use Windows 7 64-bit
0 Nyerguds Posted March 31, 2010 Posted March 31, 2010 It works better if you copy the files into the XCC folder and set that as one of the TD folders in XCC Mixer. See my guide for more info on that.
0 Crimsonum Posted April 1, 2010 Author Posted April 1, 2010 Well, I copied all TD stuff to XCC folder and it worked. Thanks. EDIT: Oh balls. I think I know what caused it. XCC Mixer shows a wrong directory as TD's location >_< EDIT2: Yep, no need to have TD files in XCC folder. For some reason, the mixer had a messed up path to (nonexistent) TD folder.
0 Crimsonum Posted April 3, 2010 Author Posted April 3, 2010 Then how do you explain that the program worked once before I got these errors? I had not touched Mixer at all
0 Nyerguds Posted April 5, 2010 Posted April 5, 2010 I dunno. I just know what I've noticed from using the program. The TS and RA2 folders are read from registry, but it doesn't touch the TD one at all.
