kennedy.greg
Is there documentation on the CnCnet client-server protocol? I was going to try building an alternate client that can connect and join games but I don't know the UDP packet structure.
0 Tore
There is no documentation other than the source code itself. And why would you want to create an alternate client? The current one works though it has some problems with some routers.
0 Nyerguds
Eh, UDP packet structure? I'm sure you can just google that...
0 Irony
Unfortunately the internals of the actual packets has no formal documentation apart from the source code. But cncnet is opensource under MPL, so feel free to have a look http://code.google.com/p/cncnet Please be careful if you try and use an alternate client on the main server, if it causes problems we may have to refuse connection to it. What is it that makes you want to make an alternate client anyway?
