Tore
ronco announced on the PPM forums that he is attempting to recreate C&C1 in HTML5 allowing the game to run in a web-browser. There is already a working prototype which can be seen here. Basic pathfinding and animations are already in place. For those who want to give it a go it is recommended to use Google Chrome. It's got the most complete HTML5 support. Keep in mind that it is only a prototype, there is a long way to a final version, or even a beta! Tore
is it good? How can I know? It's a early prototype not a "full game"
ShadowDog
It's good enough for a sneak-peek using a non-finalized language. That is to say it's doing better than Luftballon.
Mora
Oh that would be so cool if the final version will be a exact copy of the original game. Means that it will work cross platform as well. Will there also be MP?
ShadowDog
He's looking into Ajax to see if multiplayer could work.
Irony
Ajax might be a bit slow, but HTML5 details web sockets, which work just like how real games communicate
