  1. Yes it has been a concern its not C&C themed enough, which it isn't to be honest. SMF is not a lovely thing to theme, so getting to this stage should be considered as the first phase I guess. The next phase is making it C&C themed.
  2. Hi all, View the new theme in progress by clicking this link: http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?theme=9 To go back to the original: http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?theme=5 There's still a lot to do, including making it more C&C themed but thats coming soon. The main objective is still to get it to a state where it is responsive for all devices. Please test if you are interested and post any bugs you come across. Thanks
  3. Personally I don't see why they can't talk about who's better. It's a game, it's competition.
  4. It is in the works, but there is no exact release date yet!
  5. Hello everyone, CnCNet is in need of content creators and managers for the new official CnCNet youtube account. We are looking for a group of players, who can upload videos, manage playlists and/or feature other youtubers work on a weekly/fortnightly basis. If you're interested, talk to us on IRC developer chat and show your interest, or reply back here with how you can help.

    wow

Nice, here's to making it even more popular! (< Possibly the worst beer cutout ever.)
  7. I also liked the fact you could see the online number for all games supported (including mods), now thats kinda mystic I agree that is a bad thing. Its definitely on its way back in some shape or form. Don't panic!
  8. That's a pretty huge assumption and not one I will totally agree with. You're basically saying no-one will scroll past the games section, so lets cut everything beyond it. No footer, nothing. You may or may not find users scrolling past the games section, but I can guarantee you will find people scrolling, people swipe up and down on a facebook newsfeed, scrolling to reveal information. The old ways of are cramming everything above the fold are gone my friend. Keep an open mind, everything is a work in progress and will be for some time. @Small Remark: Its a responsive site. You're most likely in tablet view, things like this will be addressed with further in depth testing. Thanks for raising the points though, just wished you did it in chat whilst we were developing.
  9. That's the only problem, really. I did like the older and darker design better, but other than not seeing the games right away, there's nothing fundamentally wrong with this one. A bit puzzling though, as similar modern website designs are mostly tablet-oriented (touchscreen scrolling, etc.), while I assume the majority of the 300+ players will usually log on from a PC, and certainly play from one. An interesting point, but technically speaking if you're marketing CnCNet via any type of advertising media, the website needs to adapt for the fact that 70% of those users will be on their phone or tablet. For example, one scenario, if we posted a link to CnCNet at 8:30am i.e at rush hour, chances are they will be using a mobile or similar. Its no longer acceptable for a site not to respond to different devices, even despite the fact people play these games on their computers.

  12. Hi everyone, I'm interested in supporting you as I've just seen a tournament posted up. I can no doubt get more players to sign up for you if we can get clear instructions to sign up. http://cncbattle.com/ If you check out the forums, under Mods/Standalone currently we have OPENRA, but I would like to support you guys as-well as them. I'd need at least one of you *from cncnet staff*to sign up and become a moderator of the forum. From there you can post any news related to CnCNet as freely as you like. Let me know, Grant
  13. Celebrate Red Alert 2's 10th Anniversary and Win Cash Prizes in the... RA2 Cash Ladder Tournament PLUS! Finish in the top 48 on the RA2 Ladder during the month of October. Elite League (Rank 1-16) Pro League (Rank 17-32) Expert League (Rank 33-48) Note: If you have multiple nicknames, your highest rank will be used. What are the rules? During the qualifying month, you must abide by the XWIS rules only. During the tournament itself, you must abide by the XWIS rules AND you cannot 'engi' or 'alt' your opponent. It will be best of 3 for each match-up and best of 5 when playing for the top 3 positions(except for the Expert League which is top 2 only). Game settings will be similar to RA2 QM: Short Game = ON MCV Repacks = ON Crates Appear = OFF Super Weapons = (to be decided by the 2 players. If the 2 players can't agree with each other then SW = ON) Credits = 10 000 Unit Count = 0 What's the Map Pool and who gets to choose? The player with the lower rank chooses the 1st map. The rest of the maps are chosen by the loser of the previous match. You can choose any map from the RA2 QM Map Pool (including optional maps). Depth Charge, Alaskan Oil Spill, Bull Run, Killer Instinct and River Rampage will only be Mirror-Matches (ie. both players must be using the same faction). You can only choose each map ONCE throughout the tournament. When? The qualifying month will be in October and the tournament itself will be in November. But I don't play ranked games, can I still participate? Yes. During the month of October, Strike-Team will also be running the... One-Map-Maniac Mini Tournaments! These mini tournaments will each be played on 1 specific RA2 map: Country Swing Hammer and Sickle Official Tournament Map B Heck RvR 8 players will battle it out on each map on a 1-win-elimination basis. The first 8 people to register for each map will be entered. So you better be quick! 5 reserves will also be required for each mini tournament incase 1 or more registered players become unavailable. To make it fair for everyone, you may only enter in 1 tournament. 14. That no longer works, you have to register serial numbers in the XWIS control panel, as described in my post.

  17. Its a site for command and conquer, where as youtube is a site for everything.
  18. CNC Tube is a new video site that has just recently opened. This site acts and works just like YouTube but it only hosts Command & Conquer related videos. You can register for you own account to upload and share your Command & Conquer videos with everyone else. Or browse what is currently featured on the site. Visit CNC Tube for more. http://www.cnctube.com See source of news http://forums.cncnz.com/index.php?showtopic=13658
  19. Good, try and persuade people to come and play again and the HOF and badges will return
  20. Hello to the cnc-comm community! I’ve come on a search for TS players who are still interested in playing for the xwis hall of fame. I set up a poll up on the XWIS {strike-team} server forums to see if any of the Tiberian Sun players would like to see their Hall of fame and competition for it all come back again. This may be a chance to increase the activity of TS. I did a search via Google for ‘TS community’ and you came up! Nice forums. Link to the poll: http://strike-team.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=156508 Fixed the link -Tore
