in "Device Manager" in Propieties of my computer. also, for removing PAE, just remove "/PAE" in boot.ini section with MSCONFIG, or editing boot.ini with EDIT or NOTEPAD. [edit] i connected with cheese trough TeamViewer. wraid. there's not /PAE extenion in boot.ini, and there's none wireless confuguration tool from manufacturer, it seems to use the bad Windows XP Wireless Zero Configuration. i really do not know what happens...

what is your wireless card? did it haves a configuration tool? if yes, disable the "Zero Wireless Setup" service and start using the tool. that thing works with Conter-Strike, probally it should works too with CnCNet. [edit] What a hell PAE is doing enable in your computer sice it does not have more-than-4gb installed in your computer?? and also, this thing is sucks in Windows XP, it only really works in Windows Server 2003.

to see if your windows xp version is Home Edition, the "Blue bar" of Windows XP Professional is be green when booting. Or in "My Computer>Propieties" show it too. you forgotten the Starter edition of Windows XP (do you mean, Windows 98 with XP skin?), probally, this shit have the same issue.

...swiching to 640x480, who is corrupted, geting 640x350, where is not compatible with this videocard...

1024x768 runs a bit slow in the comp. Based is this, here is my teory: Westwood has created 640x480 due maybe a incompatibility of somes videocards with "Brokens" Resolutions, like 640x400 and 640x350. This issues does not happens is newer videocards due, maybe the drivers or the videocard for itself convert the 640x400 or 640x350 to, naturally 640x480, and then, the error cannot be noted (or something). So, this resolution in v1.06b is Corrupted, and Fixed by the videocard. Somes videocards who do not have this caracterist cannoct fix it, and will run a unsupported resolution, making the game stop responding. 640x400 is the native resolution of c&c. since 320x200 . 2 = 640x400 i'll be tankfull if it be fixed. pic. and my friend will be tankfull.

Cheese: Anyway, the problem is related with the VIDEO, not the computer at all. if you think the computer is a trash, buy another to him =P Irony: I have not tested another monitor in it, but since v1.06a runs showing "640x480" on it, i'm pretty sure the problem is not related with the monitor, and, i have a S3 Trio64V+, same problem, different monitor. hi peaple, my friends want to install C&C95 on his comuter, well, it is not the BEST ones, but sure it can runs c&c. howerer, here is the problem: Some time ago, i've related problem with S3 Trio32/64 cards with C&C95, especially v1.06b, since v1.06a runs very well. But, when i installed in my friend comp. i get the same result! i can't see anithing in 640x400 or 640x480! (1024x768 runs a bit slowly), and in v1.06a, runs good, in 640x400 and 640x480 (1024 runs slow too). then i press "Menu" in him monitor and get a very very wraid resolution status. photographed with a cellphone, bad quality sorry: Computer: Intel Pentium 4 Willamette 1.7Ghz, 512MB RAM Realtek AC'97 Audio S3 Unichrome Pro (idk the model, but that problem is related with s3 cards 0.0) Tanx.

Windows 2000 SP4 = Windows XP SP2 wihout Crap of visual styles and wihout SoundBlaster emulation by default. this is true, Windows 2000 can still handle so many app. only hacking the register/installer, like VMWare Player, MSN 7.5, Avast! 5 (need rollete up v2) in others. Windows XP is Windows 2000, but now, Windows 2000 ended the support and XP will end in 2014... and about the olds comp.? installing Windows 7 in a P3, or similar is not good...

hi, since i was nothing to do, i installed cncnet in a windows 2000 machine. lol, and it worked. XD

ehhm... what?? better than XP in stability for C&C95, only Windows 98SE, where we "screw up*" the compatibility for it. but, i think the most stable version of C&C is v1.05a, i'm not saying Nyerguds is doing a bad job, no, it have more stability because we implement so many things in v1.06 *wihout* the source code, and in v1.05a, it only includes fixes for v1.04a. *= haves back, see: http://www.cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=475.0
