  5. I don't have Open RA as it won't work on my system. Dose the Open RA map decoder decode RA1 maps to C&C95 .bin or to a format that only works on Open RA? I'me fine with the Options button and credits as the are. Its a very small thing over all.

  8. I ask about this since I'm trying to remake a lot of the C&C95 missions and put them under Custom Missions. I'm able to covnvert the buildings, unit, tress and waypoints but I only get about 50% on the playable map and they aren't placed right. To get evey thing placed right I have to get XCC Editor/ccwmap and RAED sized the same at one of the corners of the map. Than start swiching between them as I place cliffs to make sure I'm keeping the same shap. Thankfully XCC Editor will tell me what each tile is named so put my finger on the screen and place the same cliff tile in the same place in RAED as it is in XCC Editor. Than I can write every tile that comes off of that one cliff tile on paper. This takes a lot of time and I would like to cut it down some how. EDIT: Up to 1 to 9 and 11 for both Nod and GDI not couting the A,B and C variations. When it came to the variations I chose the map that looked like it had the most open space so I didn't have to do lots cliffs and rivers.

I know this has been asked before but with the advent of the many free C&Cs and RAs it both games have been uncoded more and more and I found this the other day. http://freecnc.org/dev/map-format/ It say that the TD .bin and RA MapPack are the same but for that the RA MapPack is an encoding format. It explanes things but I don't understand it. Maybe an incoder/decoder could let maps be exchanged. I know that both don't share complate map tiles so there would be errors and odd over laps as some tiles are not the same shape in both games. Just having cliff would be a good starting point.

I don't have Win8 but it sounds like you need to make sure you are the administratorof the PC and if you are the administrator of the PC make sure that the MiniRA.exe is being run as administrator with full elevated rights and privileges.   13. If the update by Iran is causing the crash you need to make a new thread about it and include the crashdump that it will make in the redalert folder. The keys/tags/command codes in the Rules.ini are explaned well for the most part but here are some things to expand on it. Image= and Name= are unstable and cause game crashes when used a lot. Both are only used in single player missions mostly Counterstike and Aftermath. The Image= and Name= are coded in the map so the change is only for that mission. Gapradius= is used for Reveal around Waypoint ## on maps and the Spy Plane [Camera] weapon. Aftermath.ini MTankDistance=20 ; Radius distance that MAD Tank is effective. Radius is in cells. QuakeUnitDamage=45% ; Damage the MAD Tank dose to Unit QuakeBuildingDamage=40% ; Damage the MAD Tank dose to Building QuakeInfantryDamage=0 ; Damage the MAD/EMP Tank dose to Infantry QuakeDelay=120 ; Delay before that the MAD Tank explodes in (frames?) CarrierLaunchDelay=30 ; Launch Delay of the HeliCarrier in (frames?) ChronoTankDuration=2 ; Time that ChronoTank recharge before it can chronoshift again. Found in Aftermath missions and mplayer.ini. [Aftermath] ; Tells game to look for the keys below when placed in a map. NewUnitsEnabled=1 ; Aftermath units can be built. 0 is AF units off and 1 is AF units on EngineerCaptureLevel=66% ; Damage level that the Building must be at to Capture. 100% full health. 50% Yellow 25% Red. EngineerDamage=33% ; Damage done to a Building if above EngineerCaptureLevel percentage.
  14. The stock Red Alert you can't add to missions Counterstrike or Aftermath tabs. There is a community update of Red Alert that will let you add custom mission. Get it at http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/ It will let you use custom mission. The mission need to be name CMU000EA.ini to CMU999EA.ini
  15. That would be good and also reminds me to PM Iran about stopping the RA1 Civs from being evaced off the map when loaded into a transport helocopter.

Yes at the top in the ; special weapons is Gapradius= You may be able to set the Gap radius in the map by adding [General] Gapradius=# Your map may have a [General] so make a quick seach of it first and if it dose just add the gap key to the [General] already in the map. I think 11 is the Gap radius max before the game will crash. Also Gapradius= is used for Reveal around Waypoint ## on maps and the Spy Plane [Camera] weapon.
  17. More C&C95 hiding in RA1 again...
  18. The projectile off map crash was most common any time a projectile (weapon) was fired and left the map at the top. Since you know what Gap is cauesing it. Bring the gap in more so that any "Cover" it makes is full on the map. The stock Gap Gen radius is 10 squares. Its not possable to make a fake gap. No other building rotates like a Gap Gen dose.
  19. This may be a bug some how related to the projectile off map crash. Is any part of the Gap Gens "Cover" off the map?
  20. You can use the Destroy All Teams in RAED to stop a team from being made. Why it sas "Destroy All Teams" when it lets you selet what team you want to remove I don't know. What is wrong with the GAP?
  21. Have your tried a destoy team trigger to stop it from building more than 1 MCV?
