This explains the lack of expansions on ra1.com. Will play the redalert1.com build since its closest to what i am looking for. Thanks for the replies everybody. The build speed slow down was added in the V2.00 reguardless if you have Aftermath so as far as I know so it wouldn't matter if you were Aftermath or not?

Red Dawn was first made before any Hires paches were made. I've only messed with the early ra95-hires by HI-FI. Can you send me a a link to this newer one you have? I may put out a new version come January if it the current Hires out now are stable I may add them in. As for you sound skiping. For the Hires mod you had to add a copy of the RA95.exe to the Red Dawn folder right? If yes than the RA95.exe needs compatibility modes set if you are using Vista/Win7/Other. The Red Dawn installer did the when you installed for the RD95.exe but you will have to do the RA95.exe your self. In the RA95.exe compatibility tab you will need to set things to Windows 98 / Windows Me and check mark the Disable desktop composition this should fix your sound skiping.

The benefits to having an installer is it is farking simple for the user. You can program the the installer to put eveything in one place. You tell it to install at C:\Westwood\*YOUR REDALERT* it will do so. This make adding this like Music and Video easy as you can have the Music and Video installer install in the same place. No need for drop and drag or copy and paste by the user. Also the installer can make desktop shortcut icons to things your installing. So with a somthing like a base game for online play only you could have the installer make a shortcut to CnC Net and have it placed on the desktop. Now say the same person downloads the campaigns and misssions as well. Now you can have that installer make a short cut to the RA95.exe for single player missions. Nyerguds more or less told me how do use Inno Setup 5 so I could do all of this for Red Dawn.

I should but I've only had to re-do the links twice. The nuking of megauploads and now this. Otherwise thing have been fine. I did think about uploading a new version that would have the blue switched to gold but that would really mess thing up for modder. The change done to the color pallet destoy Red Dawn as modding soure since noting could be ported back to stock RA1 and nothing from Stock RA1 could be used in Red Dawn.

CnCNet doesn't work with Win95/Win98 compatibility

The http://redalert1.com/ RA you shouldn't need any compatibility mode at all. If you do cnc-ddraw should fix it. Drop cnc-ddraw into your RA1 folder and turn all of the compatibility modes off. -
C&C Sole Survivor isn't forgotten it just it seem evey game after has a Sole Survivor mode.

Yes. I seem to forget about PPM most of the time... I'm gessing my old links were on a pirate site that also had the movie "Red Tails" as well and they were flaged by some bot program. ANY person could have opened both files and see it was not related to "Red Tails" at all.

Well more than 10 business days have past and no one has replyed to my counterclaim so I deleted the old ones and uploaded new ones. I did change the file names on both but they are the same as the ones that were taken down. I'm aware of this. Twentieth Century Fox and DtecNet are saying I'm infringing on a copyright. They are say I have some how taken part or all of the movie "Red Tails". I have filed a counterclaim telling them that they are wrong as Red Dawn only has parts from C&C games and C&C is copyright of EA but both files are suspensed for at leat 10 business days. (Both were removed November 19 2012) From mediafire counterclaim page... After receipt of the counterclaim, the claimant who filed the copyright infringement must notify us within ten (10) business days that ‘he’ has filed an action seeking a court order to restrain you from engaging in infringing activity relating to the Content on MediaFire. The Stealth Tank was only a prototype during TD (Nod Mission 11 C&C Tiberian Dawn - Nod Mission 11 - Recapture Stealth Tank ) The first field testing of the Stealth Tank was done by the player during Nod Mission 11. There were no other Stealth Tanks any were. Flame Tank, ORCA, Oblelisk and Advanced Guard Tower. They would be thing you could see inside of research bases but would never be a buildabe thing. Orca had reached field production by Nod 7B. The GDI Mammoth Tank wasn't in production tell after Nod 10 Command and Conquer Gold [HD]: NOD Mission 10a Briefing 1 more thnig to take into account. Nod didn't have the funds to develop advanced tech or large armies since Tiberium is Nods source of funds to develop advanced.

I hate to rain on your parade Kanecvr but if your mod is taking place before Tiberian Dawn a few unit and buildings can't be used. The Flame Tank, Stealth Tank, ORCA and Oblelisk were developed during Tiberian Dawn. The Mammoth Tank was developed during Tiberian Dawn from the old Soviet Mammoth Tank as well. (Pre EA spliting of Tiberium and Red Alert in to there own worlds) No work is give if Advanced Guard Tower developed during Tiberian Dawn however it is a good guess that it wasn't mass produced for front line use tell the later part of Tiberian Dawn. Also the Chronosphere, Chrono Tank and Phase Transport were not developed any more after Red Alert. (Excluding EAs RA2). The Chronosphere was unstable and would cause a Chrono Vortex. The Chrono Tank was costly and weak as tank and the lone prototype Phase Transport and plans was taken by the Soviet in "Lets make a steal" and the Allied production facility it was at was destroyed. The Soviet copy of the Phase Transport plans did find there way into the hands of Nod as they were used to build the Stealth Tank during Tiberian Dawn. As for the Soviet tech like the Tesla Coil and Iron Curtain. If the Allied force won the were like "Lost".

You can't put a Turret on a unit if it dosn't alreay have one stock. (ARDA may have changed this... IDK) The only way for a unit like TRUK to work is to add Tracked=yes to it. With out Tracked=yes it turn to attack any units like you already said. LAR1 and LAR2 don't have remap(Change color) The Queen Ant building will chage color... Also Skirmish AI can't be made to build any other building than it already dose.

Have you made use of the Ants yet? They are unit just like any other. I use them in Red Dawn (Recon Bike, Flame Tank and Stealth Tank are "Ants"). Also you can use Aftermath unit. I can tell you how to force the game to use them even during non-Aftermath mission (Also done in Red Dawn). If you haven't used the Ants yet here is the RA1 Jeep and Arty in the format need to replace 2 of the 3 ants. I had them around for some other things already. The Ant die sound and death shp can be replaced. The are found in the EXPAND.mix and EXPAND2.mix along with the other Ant shps. RA_Jeep_and_Arty_for_use_in_place_of_Ants.zip

The stock Med Tank is 36 x 36. That is the size I used for my screen shot.

The closer the unit is to 24x24 the smaller the error will be. When I first did the harvester so it would have the C&C 95 unloading the draw error was large but now it is cut down to the point that it only show the error when the harvester turns. What size is your unit at? XCC Mixer will tell you when you select it. The size is just pixal tall and across.

I've not used ARDA since I hope one day CnC Net will support RA1 mods. They are cut like that to avoid a draw error. Both TNK1 and ARTY can't have a unit that is larger than 24x24. I'm attaching a pic of the draw error. Fun fact. The Red Dawn harvester has this error too.

Yes you have to convert the SHP (TS) to editable format (TGA, PNG, PCX, etc) Say your shp is dome.shp. When you convert dome.shp to editable format (TGA, PNG, PCX, etc) you will see in this case 3 files (dome 000.png dome 001.png and dome 002.png) These are the 3 frame that the Radar Dome uses 3 (Normal, Damaged and Destroyed *used right before it goses boom*) Right click on dome 000.png and use Copy as SHP. Now a shp in TD/RA format should be made ready for paciking into a mix. Also make sure the right color palette with SHP Builder and XCC Mixer. For SHP Builder you need to go to palette then Red Alert. Use snow.pal or Temperate.pal you need to set the color palette with ever .shp you open. XCC Mixer you need to go to View than Palet, find Red Alet now find redalet.mix- local.mix- snow.pal or redalet.mix- local.mix- temperate.pal

TS and multiple c-yards have it own issuse... When you reopen a shp and it gives me an "access violation" That is do to the fromat. Somthing is wrong with the OS SHP editor SHP (TD) save format. You have to go to File, Save as. Than below "File name:" is "Save as type:" Change it to SHP (TS) than save. When saved as SHP (TS) you can reopen and edit it just fine. You will have to use XCC Mixer to convert it back to TD/RA shp format for RA1 to be able to use. I only use OS SHP editor when I have to deal with large numbers for frames like infantry.
