  1. Im currently interested in creating a crate map. When comparing a regular map with the existing crate map i notice a lot of settings i never seen before. Does anybody know where i can find a detailed guide that explains them?   5. Played this map against you a minute ago. Each player starts with an Island that has a base on it. The soviet player can just camp behind his tesla wall and snipe everything with his migs. There is only one beach to attack the soviet player on, ofccourse surrounded by who knows how many tesla coils. The allied player will just have to spam for hours untill he wins. Even though i hate the p4 map, it is better and requires way more strategy then this. Map score 1 out of 5 points.

    Unit queuing

    To put things into perspective: The biggest gameplay changing addition so far has been the upgraded game resolution. This partly or maybe even completely removes the need for bookmark "skills". SO far i have seen 0 people complain about this change. Also, there are no games or tournaments that require the limitation of the game resolution to mimic classic gameplay. I am certain that only 0.1% of the player base would mind queuing being implemented. The rest would propably accept it since it adds a level of comfort in the same way the larger resolution did.

    Is it possible to add this function to red alert? In my opinion it would add some comfort and make the game less of a clickfest when building infantry. Im also curious what most ra1 players would prefer? No queuing (TD/RA1 style) Tiberian sun queuing (up to 5) RA2 queuing (unlimited) Just to be clear: i'm not saying it SHOULD be added, im just wondering if it CAN be added. Thanks
  8. I love how your maps are balanced, but still look great. Very high quality maps, archipelago is my favorite. I have few suggestions for archipelago though: For the main Island i would suggest changing the center ore field to minerals. Change the other or fields on the main Island to ore only. This to gives the center fields a larger tactical value. Secondly i would also change the small islands fields to minerals (higher reward), this will stimulate players to invest in a navy. Finally, for the nothern and Southern Island i would suggest giving them a huge ore field with a lot of mines. This way they will become more important in the late game. When all ore runs out they will be the only field that automaticly refills itself. If you dont like this idea, the second possibility will be changing the ore fields to mineral fields (for the same reason as the smaller islands) Looking forward to future maps!
  9. There where no keys assigned to scrolling. This was causing the problem. Thanks for the help Edit: its still not fixed. With the tiberian sun download from cnc-com i was able to scroll smoothly with the Arrow keys. When assigning them manuallythe scrolling becomes choppy...
  10. I recently downloaded the cncnet 5 tiberian sun version. I used to play the one you can play at this site since it includes singleplayer. Unfortunately i noticed the cncnet 5 version does not allow scrolling using the Arrow keys. How can i change this? Thanks

    Lol, jonttu and riseofbane. Just because you think your idea's are great doesn't mean they are. I find it very rude you are both pressuring nyerguds into implementing your idea's to the game. The reason why his patch is so widely accepted by the community is because he has not touched the gameplay and balance of the game. Have you ever looked at ra2/c&c generals? A lot of people modded and rebalanced the game, and the community is split up between different patches and mods. It was a very smart move by nyerguds to keep the original balance intact. If you really want to implement your idea, please learn how to mod the game instead of asking nyerguds to implement it for you.

  13. Hello, For some time i have been interested in patches for increasing tiberian sun's stability. I am using the tiberian sun version downloaded from this site. The part i need help with is the patching. There are a few patches and i am not sure what each one does, and if they can be installed at the same time. The patches are: Hyperpatch Tiberian sun UMP Graphics patcher Can anybody explain the differences? I tried to do some research myself, but i am confused about what patch to install. Thanks

    Hey guys, I was wondering, is the 1.06cr2 the final version of the game? It's clear the new version (and future versions) of cncnet will be implementen, but is there anything else left? Are there ingame additions or fixes planned? Just curious, thanks.
  15. Is there a way to change the red alert terrain editor resolution? I prefer to use it over raed since it allows more fluid terrain placement.
  16. Thanks guys, i was able to change the map size to 126x126. The problem now is saving the map to an MPR file. I was able to save it to an individual ini file, and i have opened it with notepad and compared it with a regular MPR file. I noticed the terrain, waypoints info in both files is about the same so i will try copying the content to an existing mpr file. What does [Digest] mean or do? Its the only label the mpr contains while the ini does not have it.
  17. Hello, I was thinking about copying the a path beyond red alert map into a 126x126 map and using the free space to add more terrain to it. Is there a way to copy all of the terrain or edit the map size? thanks
  18. Well in my opinion this is mostly caused by maps like p4. By removing any usable terrain and adding unlimited money you can make any game feel like an unlimited spam fest. Playing small to medium sized maps with limited amounts of money will make the game a lot more fun to play
  19. About the build you mentioned: i tried it yesterday and i was pleasantly surprised by the config tool. Finally a way to play red alert in a higher resolution without many bugs. And the best thing about it: it works with cncnet! Even though the instalation method isn't exactly how i would prefer it the high resoltion mode makes up for that. Looking forward to further development, i will surely keep an eye on your site from now.

  21. Well its not like i dont know how to make it work and install the game. Its just that i used to have to install the game using 4 cd's back in the days. After so many years i would expect to have one exe that would install the game since 500 mb isnt that much today. If i want to install red alert 1 including the music, expansions and editor i need to download like 6 different files. Copy it all to one foleder and create all the shortcuts manually. C&C95 has it, tiberian sun has it so why doesn't it exist for red alert? Its the most popular game on cncnet so i am suprised nobody asked this question earlier

  23. Hello, I wanted to play red alert 1 and was looking for a download. To my surprise the fullra++ that used to be on this site is gone. The redalert1.com site only allows you to download red alert 1 without music and expansions. http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/ allows to download red alert + the expansion split up, so thats also not veyr user friendly. So my question: is there a place online where i can download a clean single exe version (like c&c95 has) of red alert including the expansions + music? Thanks
