  1. So Tiberian Sun fully works but in Red Alert the game start is delayed and launches once all other players already timed out? Run CnCNet as admin and also check your anti/virus firewall settings
  2. sometimes the menu doesn't show up (the game did not freeze, it is just invisible), that happens usually on Mac or Linux (no fix available), or on windows when TS-DDraw is enabled. Did you maybe enable TS-DDraw in the Tiberian Sun Config recently? I think you can also press ESC again to close the menu even if it is invisilbe (not sure about that)
  3. Have you tried my patch http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=3438.0 without having any other workaround in the folder? It probably won't work that well if you mix up different things Try to get a fresh folder using the Tiberian Sun freeware download, google for officialcnctiberiansun.rar
  4. raed supports now Cave - http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=3476.0 irans latest version with Cave support for singleplayer - http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/files/ra/ra95-iran.exe CnCNet was updated with Cave support too
  5. Try to play serverless games (self-hosted / Peer-to-peer)
  6. You can probably turn the heuristic paranoid detection off somewhere so it will only alert you if it really found something When norton shows an alert with either "Heuristic", "WS-Reputation", "Suspicious.Cloud", "Suspicious.Insight" then it's not a virus
  7. You should run the patches and they should find your origin folder automatically, if not then select it manually
  8. Here are the patches we made for the old games: CnC1: http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/cnc95upd/cc95p106/ Red Alert 1: http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/ Tiberian Sun: http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=3438.0 With newer games we cannot really help, since this here is mainly about the very first games You have to know that Alt+Tab will not be working on Tiberian Sun/Red Alert 2 on windows 8 / 8.1 / 10, there is no proper fix for this problem yet
  9. Iran fixed all the trainers back when he patched TS, but if someone wants to ruin your fun playing TS then he could just spend a lot time trying to make new cheats. You can compare this with Microsoft Windows, they also fixed all bugs and later someone tries hard to get around it, thats why they keep fixing new bugs via the automatic updates. It works pretty much the same here, if there is a new bug then it usually wont take much time until someone does notice and reports it. I will forward this to iran so he can take a look into it
  10. Red Alert 1: http://downloads.cncnet.org/RA1installer.exe http://212.227.255.12/files/ra/freeware/RedAlert1_AlliedDisc.rar http://212.227.255.12/files/ra/freeware/RedAlert1_SovietDisc.rar Install via RA1Installer, Select Full CD-Installation. It Should find the .rar automatically if you have all files in the same folder Tiberian Dawn: Game: http://www.moddb.com/mods/command-conquer-unofficial-patch-106/downloads/cc95-v106c-revision-3-full-game-installer Videos: http://www.moddb.com/mods/command-conquer-unofficial-patch-106/downloads/command-conquer-english-videos-base-pack
  11. Try this one: http://tore29.com/tsins/TSinstaller3-beta10r4-full.exe
  12. Are you using our installers from www.cncnet.org ? Did you change the video settings? Could you tell us which games you are talking about, that would help a lot. And your operation system too
  13. type the following command in the game lobby right where you chat: /reset
  14. It detects the RedAlert1_Online_Installer.exe itself? Or does it alert about any file inside of it? Could you check the logs to see what filename it shows Just checked the installer, no detection there either: https://www.virustotal.com/de/file/5250c189c0d4cbbd2f34d7b3a177445a920fc83889abca823752f93aa911f787/analysis/
  15. I scanned it online with AVG but AVG did not find anything, so I guess you might have paranoid settings enabled which lead to false detections https://www.virustotal.com/de/file/c8b8ecd294cd1d7d25df3ece4d4ee5283ef0e40945a0201f41c831894e7be208/analysis/1439309493/ https://www.virustotal.com/de/file/7199eeae72eea649ff3932beeb802a4d402ccf10ce1888325f41caf128965622/analysis/ Might be the best to ask in the AVG forums why you are getting this detection and others not, http://www.avg.com
  16. Yes, our mac package seems to have some problems currently on recent osx versions, hopefully it will be fixed soon since I was plan to release a full install with single player. Crossover seems to work perfectly fine though, maybe give that one a try https://www.codeweavers.com/
  17. looks cool, did you already try it with edwin? I will add support to the game and raed tomorrow
  18. The game does not support such high resolutions, i think 1920x1200 is about the highest you can use. Try to check your graphic card driver settings, there should be multiple options for scaling you can choose from
  19. try to disable high dpi globally (set it back to default 100%) http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/443-dpi-display-size-settings-change.html
  20. You have to place it into your game folder, do never overwrite any files in your system32 folder!
  21. LAN patch was removed cause it is freezing windows 10 and you can play LAN games via the cncnet lobby now If you don't want to play LAN via the cncnet online lobby for any reason then get the LAN patch from here: http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/files/WSOCK32.DLL To play LAN via cncnet, click on the "Play Online" Button, then choose "LAN" and select your local ip
  22. Try it without the virtual machine!
  23. The problem should be fixed now
  24. The game works perfectly fine on win7 64bit, win 8 / 8.1 / 10 have the problem where you cannot minimize though, but besides that it works fine There are cases where the game doesn't work, often because people download a version from the internet (Windows will not be able to detect the game and won't apply the needed fixes), but there are also cases where the game doesn't work even if it's an official installation, would be interesting to find out what the problem behind this is. Maybe bad graphic card drivers? Some weird windows settings like aero? No idea... Here are the shims I extracted from the compatibility db microsoft ships with windows: http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/files/compat/
