-
LAN patch is only needed for LAN games or VPN's (not for CnCNet) Westwood online does not exist anymore, but the guys from xwis took it over and you can still play in the old online lobby via http://xwis.net/

How Do I Install Music For Red Alert On Mac?
FunkyFr3sh replied to Mr_Yeti's topic in CnCNet Discussion
Settings in the top left, then game settings -> install music -
I think irans patch doesn't support old saves anymore either. In dune 2000 I added all the new stuff to a additional file to keep the saves compatible with the original version

All you need is here: http://cncnet.org/yuris-revenge

We can try a test game if you want, i will check if i see something
-
Does that happen with both, Tunneled and Peer-To-Peer? Note: Peer-To-Peer are the rooms with lightning bolt icon, those require ports to be open on some routers Note: Tunneled are the the rooms with the dark gray font, those work on any router

in cncnet5.ini you add a new line under [settings] like this: Server=192.168.2.10 replace 192.168.2.10 with the ip of your server That's all you need to do

This limit is pretty high for an online server, normally the limits are lower than that just to prevent someone from connecting many bots and such. CnCNet was just meant to be a pure Online lobby, the LAN / Skirmish options were just a extra goodie on top For bigger LAN events you could host your own IRC server locally without limits, then change the settings of the lobby to connect to this server instead of our public online server. Another option would be using the original LAN lobby of the game, this one has no limit either, you can get into the original lobby by downloading the installers listed below CnC1: http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/cnc95upd/cc95p106/ Red Alert: http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/ (click Play Offline - Multiplayer - Network) Tiberian Sun: http://tore29.com/tsins/TSinstaller3-beta10r6.exe Note: The original LAN lobby will not work anymore once you played an online game on cncnet, that's because it has to rename the LAN patch to avoid problems. You can rename it back to the original filename (wsock32.dll backup)

You should rather check the settings of the program and try to add an exception. Or you could also send them the file so they can check it and fix the false detection
-
You can't really uninstall it since the installer more like a self extractor. The updater should fix the problem, but something is blocking it and it fails to extract the file. Check your anti virus/firewall etc
-
7 players are the limit right now, we should really change this to 8 since that's the amount of players fitting inside one game
-
If they would add build queues and such things that change the gameplay dramatically then there would be no reason to even work on the project, you could just play openRA instead
-
You have broken graphic card drivers, the menu bug should not happen on windows 7 Try to install some older versions and use default renderer
-
not bad, good job
-
This sounds like you are using IE-DDraw, could this be the case? What game installation do you have and when did you install it? IE-DDraw was used as a default setting for some time, but it was replaced by a better option in recent versions
-
Do you have origin? Maybe their updater removes the files

Fast games are not working automatically for everyone yet, but you can login to your router and open port 8054 UDP for p2p games and 50000 udp for self hosted games. Tutorial is here: http://portforward.com/english/applications/port_forwarding/CnCNet/default.htm If you are lucky then it might start to work for you within the next weeks without port forwarding once the new versions of the cncnet client are done. Sadly it is impossible to make it working for everyone, so port forwarding is the best way to get it working

Expanding INTERIOR tileset with "Cave/subterranean" tiles
FunkyFr3sh replied to Tschokky's topic in Modding Discussion
just noticed that it works with edwin lol last time i tried it just crashed, weird ... maybe i forgot the .pal not sure if it shows all tiles though http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/files/pictures/cave.png Edit: It crashes when I try to place a starting location That's uncool, but at least you can do the most of the terrain just fine. Could afterwards add the black areas and starts with raed once done lol even interior works when you have no starting locations on the map -
Cannot explain why you are getting such errors, no one else had them before so I guess something might be broken in your windows installation
-
Yes it works fine, Gruntlord (the guy who runs the website) is using windows 10 himself. Play around with the video settings, try to enable/disable DxWnd, also try GDI mode. Force directdraw emulation is an option too
