now that i think of it i think i played it online on XWIS many MANY MANY years ago. I also modified it heavily to work online with people who didn't have it by just importing graphics into vanilla TS. I mainly remembered tibsun retro because i recently played tiberium essence mod for Tiberium Wars and had a lot of fun with it and retro is similar in some ways by keeping original Mammoth tank etc and adding tons of content. I went back and played retro yesterday. It needs a lot fo work in my opinion to be worth playing online. the cameos are confusing and terrible. various other things i dont like in it as well. I guess thats why I modified it a long time ago. Oh well. essence is badass.

I think pretty much everyone who plays TS here has a list of people they ban on sight for lag, bad behavior, sucking, too good, etc. one dumbass who tries to recon or disconnect can be added to that personal ban list. There's nothing more ban worthy than a pakistan lagger in my opinion. Id rather play a disconnector cheater than suffer the pain of lag. Worst matches in my opinion are: 1. Laggers 2. Newbs Who Can't Play For Shit 3. Changing Gamespeed To Slowest In A 4/6/8 Player Game 4. Reconing a 4/6/8 Player Game Disconnecting = Same As Leaving Game/Surrendering Doesn't Matter Unless They Keep Reconnecting LOL But You Can Boot Them

since hes saying r/c and disconnect hes probably just disconnecting and changing game speed and connection speed over and over until it goes out of sync. or he is just hex editing his funds or other stats to make the game go out of sync. either way i dont think you should ban him just kick him from your games. i really dont think its a good idea to start banning people over "cheating". just leave the game and start a new one. people leave the game all the time when they realize they are gonna lose. if he disconnects or starts trying to recon the game just leave and consider it a win. not a big deal. just played him. hes not a asshole. doesnt need to be banned lol http://i.imgur.com/aJlMj0m.jpg

Join any forest fires match on tiberian sun. you have to wait for 30 minutes before they start the match and have to listen to them talk about smoking weed. most annoying shit ever. if you play red alert 2 on the chinese server its all about getting as many games in as possible. theyll start the game with uneven teams, no teams, cheaters, etc. they dont care. in fact if you cheat they all of a sudden start cheating too.

actually, me giving out cheats was direct retaliation for sean3z harassing me on skype, editing my posts even sometimes going as far to delete my posts and then posting what i posted, testing his bot on me, stalking me to try to find out what usernames i was playing with, and him editing the xwis bot to kick people from the game for swearing. this was also around the time he was trying to make himself appear to be useful pushing the autoscreenshot for ts so for my own amusement i used the autoscreenshot then edited the tiberian fiend graphic to make them 10 stories tall so people would see it on the screenshots after being cheated by me on the autoscreenshot. i also changed some greaphics so that the screenshot would have links to the cheats. this was to show my dominance over him using his anticheat (that olaf made) to use it against them by promoting the cheats, lol. anyway, xwis is dead for a reason. that place is terrible. i was not concerned about people cheating. most people cheat in ts on xwis anyway. it was a massive joke. every single person pushing the autoscreenshot was caught cheating the past few months prior besides sean3z cause he dont play ts lol. so dont act like anything i did mattered. it was all a joke just like the players are a joke. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAigh3aL0s4 lol

I was never excited for it after they announced it but i monitored it for a while out of curiosity. I still dont know how the gameplay is but nothing ive seen so far made me want to play it just seemed a little different so i watched it with curiosity waiting for the moment to disqualify it from it being any good. that moment happened when i saw a video of a giant goo steamroll a mass of enemy units killing them instantly and then steamroll the base. that was the end right there.

I'd love to see smiffgig's work incorporated into tibsun though. besides that ts doin fine here. but if it ever got popular (which it wont) id like to see smoke comin out of them power plants. and maybe put graphics settings a level higher? kinda sucks no conyard animating and no smoke from damaged units. smoke from damaged units was kidna important to know which units were dying lol.

tiberian sun is like the mad scientist creation of C&C it is feature packed. I will be shocked if you don't cut corners on that project. Past my cynicism I find it interesting but don't believe it'll workout. Plus, Tiberian Sun's fanbase is competitive and Tiberian Sun is popular to us mainly because of the gameplay formula being just right. If you arent a fan of it and into the multiplayer seriously this will do nothing but piss the Tiberian Sun fans off. If anything this is just good for advancing your game engine nothing more.

i bet that 3d engine for tiberian dawn had some serious issues since they kept doing 2d voxel shit years later. that game is not from this world.
