  3. I recently released a "Lite" version of my mod as I continue to work on the main project.     WIP - TD Beta Bridge

  8. Hey guys I took some time to make/remake the TD beta bridge as a functioning bridge. I felt I had to change the colour because I'm using it in my OpenRA mod & the terrain is in RA palette. (The RA palette misses a lot of cool blue / greys so the bridge ends up looking purple) I chose light grey to try & resemble concrete, like overpass bridges. I guess it would need some hex work to function properly in RA, if it is even possible to add. Let me know what you think! Heres the original for comparison; note the blue colour (I have to credit Messiah for an old static shp of the bridge I found as a starting point )
  9. I think they are unlikely to sell it... unless another big game developer offers a lot of money... What they need to do is give it to a passionate developer within their umbrella & just let them make a good C&C without corporate EA interference. No paid DLC, “free to play” horse shit, etc. It’s a fairly niche market RTS games, nowadays, (with the exception of Korean esports) So I wouldn’t say there is a large profit margin. I don’t imagine it’s worth investing large sums of money in, like in Battlefield for example. I think the best we can hope for at this stage is a Red Alert 2 Remastered, Similar to the Age of Empires game. Although they could use the IP to make a cool profitable games, for example combining something like Battlefield 2142 & Tiberian Sun together. But yeah, nah they’d rather make forgettable mobile games instead. ?

  11. I'd agree with White; I think it needs shadow - so it pop's out a bit more, Perhaps a grey-blue barrel with shadow. (look at the GDI mammoth tank turret barrels for example) I guess the barrel could also be made shorter or thinner as it's a short range weapon. Overall I like the unit though. On another note: What an absolute abomination that EA game is... Makes the cancelled Generals 2 or Chinese rip-off game look great in comparison. ?
  12. Dozer blade looks good, Also like the updated Tank Hunter icon. Yeah perhaps a green RA1 light tank turret on the top might work?

(RA2 TS TD RA etc) Nooze made a tank destroyer, might be useable to you once converted to TD palette? https://ppmforums.com/viewtopic.php?t=44081 Besides that there are shp files included in certain maps on https://resource.openra.net/. Wither its easy to track down which ones & the maker/author of the shp's is another question.
  15. I think Russia would suffer from lack of units if it was removed. Looks like a Carribean tileset! Maybe you could have volcanos.

The light tank is 100% the Bradley, I think I read somewhere its a retrofitted version with a bigger gun, M2-F (fictional) Visually yeah, the unit has a round turret, which is a trait of Soviet era tanks T-54, T-62, T-64 etc Seems a common misconception however that "NOD = Soviets" which is not true... its a global cult/terrorist organization. So presumably there was a coup d'etat within the United States, defecting generals or whatever - my theory. (I like to think of it as the American Civil War 2, rather than the Cold War) At least that'd explain why NOD uses the US LPV (Attack Buggy), the US M110 (Artillery), US C130/C17? (Cargo Plane), US AH-64 (Apache), US CH-47 (Transport Helicopter) etc In the cutscenes NOD also have F-22 fighter jets, Bradleys & Abrams tanks. The Flame Tank & Recon Bike are pure fantasy units, presumably left over from the original concepts for C&C being kind of Sci-fi.
  17. I would guess that originally GDI had the flame units, as you can see the GDI flame tank in the beta screenshots, it also explains why the A10 drops napalm. So it would make sense that: The SSM (MRLS) was the GDI artillery unit. (Flame weapon) Artillery (Arty) was the NOD artillery unit. Missile Launcher (MSAM) was a unit shared by both factions for AA purposes. (I believe: The Medium Tank, SAM sites & Gun turrets were also shared units - My guess is the Adv Guard Tower was an after thought, thats why it doesn't look right, and the missiles appear from nowhere)
  18. Might just be mild ocd... but should you not mirror the APC icon so its driving left to right like the rest of the vehicle icons? Machine shop looks good on the bigger bib - I do still find it a bit odd being so small.
  19. The bib does look a bit odd. What was the reasoning behind the 1x1 choice? (not sure why such a small shop, would need two large smoke stacks!) It looks good with the area you have to work with... although perhaps the bunker part should be shaded grey also. (or house colour)

  21. Progress looks great Kilkakon! Only artwork suggestion would be: Perhaps add a little weather damage/rust to the flat panels on the powerplant rework.
  22. Never seen it in C&C95, I i did however include it into my OpenRA mod Combined Arms. Only ever got round to making one complete map. I'm actually falling behind with the constant update cycle of OpenRA due to lack of free time.
