  1. Hi all, why don't we have a pre-game alliance just like in TS or RA?
  2. fakemammy12 is the best TS player of all time. He has the best scout abilities + he knows how to expand into your face with an iron fist. He used to be very active in xwis forums. How is he doing now?
  3. I am not sure if this fix would be simple, but scoring system for TS does not reflect the actual combat points you got from the battle. I give you an example; in a 4 vs 4 game, the winning team always score better than all the losing team. This is not a true reflection of what actually happened during the game. One of the reasons is, when you surrender you lose all your eco. This simple idea might seem silly, true, but its nice sometimes to study the game play and then watch the scores for a minute and for a better understanding of that particular battle. I think there is more to include in the scoring sheet than just three columns. Currently the scoring chart only include kills, lost, money. It really means nothing or shall I say, not helpful at all to analyze the battle. The perfect scoring sheet would be the one which even if you didn't watch the battle during the action, you would still be able to understand and conceptualize what happened in that battle. Other components to add could be number of aircrafts, number of defenses or whatever. Maybe include "timing of tech center" build, would be nice I think. But hey, any meaningful heading that is specifically related to TS game play analysis, can be thrown into the scoring chart. My previous suggestions of which headings are to include may not be really meaningful to a TS game analysis. Pro players might be able to come up with much better headings that might help whoever want to study the scoring sheet with his insight and analysis to that particular battle. Maybe "contribution to scouting" is a good heading to include and to know which player scouted most or least. This is directly related to TS. This is an another area for players who consider improving, heck, you will be able to know better about your style. Oh, don't forget that you are planning to add ladders, so a ladder game with a good scoring sheet would be an awesome feature. So, is this a great idea? or just a waste of time you reckon? Tell me ! Probably a waste of time lol.
  4. Senior, you're going to march until your feet bleed.  I doubt your donkey agrees to leave his wife and kids for months and months just to search for a nameless unknown guy but a great TS player.
  5. A very warm welcome from your dear TS community, I hope!
  6. Hi Fog of war, the feature that failed to work in TS, and never fixed. TS units were designed to perform with fog of war on, plus night morning dynamic which then this idea was dropped all together as Westwood was sold to EA. The fog of war function as a result is still immature. The following is only my humble opinion, I think there is a great potential if fog of war is fixed for good. There were two main problems with fog of war, when players tried it online, the game would crash in the middle of game. The result is fog of war never put into practice. The second problem is that the spot scouted almost immediately shrinks to nothing and returns to black. Now, the suggestion is that if the host player ticked the fog of war on, then the black shroud is either removed all together or just don't allow it to regrow. The transparent shroud remains, instead of having both together. Yes the map is revealed but no units or Tiberium growth are to be visible. Next, instead of fog regrowing immediately, I'd stay spot stays scouted for 1 minute. We can as players test that in different maps and I imagine this would add more depth to the game and more use of variety of units such us walverines, buggies, stealth tanks,...etc In short, There are two options. Either keep black and transparent shroud but only transparent remain regrows. The second option, which I personally see it a more viable option, is when fog of war is ticked on, then just keep the transparent shroud that regrows and remove the black shroud all at once. What do admins and players think about this suggestion? Leave your response.
  7. Let's start with easy questions. How did you find about Tiberian Sun? Were you playing other games before knowing TS? What were the games if any? Were you alone playing TS or had your siblings/friends/neighbors playing or watching you while playing? Did you tell your school mates about TS? I hope that these questions are not too personal. I will ask difficult questions at later stage.

    Add new Hotkey

I have an idea for RA. A helpful hotkey is the "Select Same Type". We have it in Tiberian sun and it's really convenient. For example, when you want to select all your units then retract the harvesters from the group. Currently in RA, most of my attacks are accompanied with harvesters. I know you could use shift to individually deselect harvesters, but this hotkey would save you the trouble all together. Say you want to take only Rocket men from mixed blob of infantry, then you can have them in 1 select move instead of clicking on each man individually with shift. Also when selecting your helicopters, usually harvesters and infantry end up going to enemy base along with your helicopters. Is this feasible in CNCNET? Or things are hard coded and new things simply Can't be implemented. What do you think?? Finally, I really appreciate CNCNET team for their time and effort in bringing this game to life.
