mrgreenno1
hi. How to connect AUD to a specific SHP? Should it be the same name or what?

Allen262
You can't add voices to any unit like in Tib Sun/RA2. The select, move and attack voices are common for most units. There voice aud files are found in the allied.mix and soviet.mix Those units that don't use the common voice are found in the sounds.mix You can't add any more sound .aud files to RA-1 as well. You must replace an .aud already fround in the Sound.mix if wany to add a new weapon firing sound or explosion.
Nyerguds
The Counterstrike and Aftermath unit voices are in the expand*.mix files, as far as I know.
Allen262
Not quite. The C&C95 Commando voices, Gen Stavrost, Ants, buzzer/alarm and "Mand Tank Depolyed" are in the expand*.mix files the rest are in Sound.mix from the Aftermath CD.
Nyerguds
Ah, okay. I knew at least some of them were in there though. I was sure about the ants, for one thing
Allen262
It makes no since why they would put half of the sounds in one place while the others are in another but that is how it is done...
Nyerguds
That's easy. All the unit sounds in the expand files are technically mission-only.
mrgreenno1
i add general stavros to soviet units instead of tanya, but he speaks as usual trooper despite all his aud is in expand.mix =( but year or 2 ago i was playing and everything was ok. he used his own aud. i cant understand what happend now and how to fix this. Allen262
General Stavros uses usual trooper voice when owned by Soviets. Spy dose the same thing too. This is hard coded in the game.
