What is the build order for Soviets in Red Alert 2 Yuri's Revenge?

Hello. I'm a beginner at the game, and I don't know in what order I should build when I play soviets. Would you please teach me how to do it?

Feel free to share any tips needed for a beginner to play better.

Thanks in advance! 😊

Depends of the map and the money available

But a basic Soviet BO would be, Power, Barracks, Refinery, War Factory, Trucks + More Refineries, More Warfactories, Radar - Lab...

But depends alot of the map, the starting credits, how the Ore fields are spotted on the map, if there are Gems, if your opponent is an AI or human, if he's going to rush or is selling MCV...

Get experience and you will learn the best build order for each situation

As T-90 mentioned, It depends on the map and the amount of resources available + your opponent's style of play and your own strategy, but generally:
Power, barracks, refinery, power, war factory, battle lab, nuclear reactor, industrial plant, service depot.

If you know that they play mostly defensive, and that they won't rush you; focus on making as much money as you can first; take oil rigs, make more miners (or build power plants, if they generate money, like on some mod maps) while they don't have the means to attack, then make sure you have enough defenses at base before you finally attack.

Running low on power will slow you down significantly, so always keep some green in your power bar (build more power plants before it turns yellow).

If you need to make several miners urgently, you can build refineries while making miners, and then you can sell the extra refineries.

If you wanna rush and you have enough money, you should build several war factories to produce tanks more quickly, and if you don't have the money, you can sell some buildings (even MCV) to buy more tanks ASAP, but that's a risky strategy, and it's very unlikely to work unless it's a 1v1.

If your opponent tends to rush, you need to make defenses ASAP, and not waste time making other things, like too many miners.

It's very important to know what your opponent is doing all the time, so you need to unshroud their base ASAP (with a dog or whatever), and use a SpySat when available, to predict what they're up to and be ready for it.

You need to be ready to counter anything your opponent could do at any time, so the more prepared to attack they are, the more prepared you should be to defend, and the less prepared to defend they are, the more prepared you should be to attack.

I could write a very thick book on tips & strategies for both beginners and advanced players. :D
But again, as T-90 mentioned, getting experience is the best way to learn.
Watching experienced players can teach you a lot as well.

Now, without checking; how many times have I said "If" & "ASAP"? :P

I also have the same question, since the Soviet build order can be a little confusing when you are just starting out and there are several different ways to approach the early game. I think the easiest way to learn is to have a simple opening that gives you a reliable economy and basic defense before worrying about more advanced strategies. It would be helpful to understand which buildings and units should generally come first, when to expand production, and how much attention should be given to scouting while the build is developing. I am also interested in learning how the opening should change depending on what the opponent is doing, rather than memorizing one build order and following it regardless of the situation.

Sure I can teach you.

A basic Soviet faction build order as for all builds depends on the map size and if its open terrain or has lots of cliffs / lakes / chokepoints.
Also if you start with just Ore or have some Gems, which give 2x the money per Harvester trip, with starting Gems you can sometimes skip producing miners from factory.

LARGE OPEN MAPS:

  1. Tesla Reactor
  2. Barracks ( 4 Dogs to scout map, put into teams with CTRL+Number )
  3. Refinery ( Try to put close to Gems or Ore as possible )
  4. War Factory ( 2 or 3 War Miners, before making Rhino Tanks )
  5. From this point you can move MCV to different smaller Ore patches and build there, if not keep building at the same large one.
  6. Refinery ( If at the same ore patch, sell it after, you're making it for the miner only )
  7. You can move to new Ore again.
  8. Refinery ( If at the same Ore patch if you have large Ore patch nearby and sell it too if you do, if there is no large ore patch make it at a different one and keep it )
  9. Tesla Reactor
  10. War Factory ( Keep making Rhino Tanks )
  11. War Factory
  12. Tesla Reactor
  13. Depending on your economy being good and if the map is large you can keep building War Factories to increase Rhino Tank production speed.
  14. Radar
  15. Tesla Reactor
  16. Battle Lab
  17. Nuclear Reactor
  18. If the Super Weapons are disabled you can continue to build War Factories.
  19. Iron Curtain or Industrial Plant ( Makes all vehicles 25% cheaper)
  20. Continue to keep building to more Ore and Gem patches and expanding your economy
  21. War Factory
  22. War Factory
  23. Keep repeating step 21 and go WIN.

SMALL - MEDIUM MAPS:

  1. Tesla Reactor
  2. Barracks ( 3 Dogs to scout the map )
  3. Refinery ( Near Gems first then Ore )
  4. War Factory ( 0 - 1 War Miners, then Rhino Tanks )
  5. If a lot of Gems are near your base make 2x War Factories if not then skip this step.
  6. Refinery ( Near Gems if many remain and sell the old Refinery, otherwise build at Ore and keep both till Gems are gone )
  7. Tesla Reactor
  8. War Factory
  9. Refinery ( Next Gems or nearest Ore patch, if building at same Ore you can sell old Refineries )
  10. Refinery
  11. War Factory
  12. Tesla Reactor
  13. Radar
  14. Tesla Reactor
  15. Battle Lab
  16. Nuclear Reactor
  17. Iron Curtain or Industrial Plant
  18. Continue building to new Ore / Gems and making more War Factories.
