Iran Posted October 23, 2013 Posted October 23, 2013 When I play in windowed mode in Windows 8.1 with my 3750 DPI mouse the mouse glitches up a lot when moving around.
Iran Posted October 25, 2013 Author Posted October 25, 2013 This also affects C&C95 with cnc-ddraw. I was testing on my laptop and it seemed to work fine there. Gonna do some more testing I guess.
Iran Posted October 25, 2013 Author Posted October 25, 2013 Seems to have to do with my mouse polling rate, my Razer gaming mouse allows me to switch from 125hz to 1000hz, it works with 125hz but not 1000hz. EDIT: Apparently there are mouse lag issues on windows 8.1 with high DPI and high polling rate mouses. This explains why I didn't get this issue in Windows 7 with the same mouse and setup.
Krypto Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 Don't use that Tabletated trash! Stick to Windows 7 or XP.
pichorra Posted October 30, 2013 Posted October 30, 2013 if it affects all appications, then it's Windows's fault, and Microsoft will quickly fix it. No gamer would want a buggy mouse, and that would affect how windows sells.
pichorra Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 As I thought: http://www.msfn.org/board/topic/170269-windows-81-only-mouse-lag-patch-details-download-link/ - Hotfix for the Mouse lag
Iran Posted November 15, 2013 Author Posted November 15, 2013 Still get the issue with the mouse patch installed, sigh..
pichorra Posted November 15, 2013 Posted November 15, 2013 Then Microsoft dirty fix is dirty and don't work. Not surprising
