Is Generals coming?

Recommended Posts

CNC online is terrible though and doesn't work for at least 50% of people...that's the issue. This system is much better to keep online play alive and it actually works without having to be a computer scientist.

Same problem for me. I am one of the 50% where it doesn't work.

I know of 3 more people in my town. ( and 3 more in a neighbor town)

And I do not call this bitchin. The problem lies within the provider AND location in the country. I do know a computer scientist, that has analysed the problem. Eventually we went Blizzard games for the RTS genre.

Just accept that there are people who can't play and rather have cncnet.

Now, for generals not being from westwood however, does provide us with a problem.

It would be cool though.

Really? Why haven't you read the support forum's pinned threads and made a support thread if you couldn't fix it? http://forums.revora.net/forum/2735-c-conline-support/

And I do not call this bitchin.

It is nothing short of it, especially when it comes from someone who was banned on two forums for incredibly abusive behaviour after being proven wrong time and time again (read: bashing staff and posting porn).

I do know a computer scientist, that has analysed the problem.

Which problem, exactly?

Just accept that there are people who can't play

Read: who can't read something that's so to-the-face that it's almost embarrassing.

and rather have cncnet.

Read: who are too stubborn to have something different.

All I am saying is that Generals would be great to try online. If it is not going to be supported in cncnet. I might try something else, eventually.

You seem to be angry at me for telling you it does not work for me. Even though the problem is already 15 years (20 already perhaps?) old for where I live. After one post, you are already calling me stubborn and embarrassing?

You also seem to comparing me with him, why? I don't know him, I only said I had the same problem.

You are also asking questions that are already answered by me. To answer more precisely to the analysed problem: servers where either already shut down before we got our hands on a certain game (tiberian dawn, red alert) Or the servers simply denied us for the extreme high ping (dune2000, tiberian sun, red alert2). The computer man in our group send pings for determining this and asked the servers for a response. Result was 9999, and that is bad for all I know.

Ow and, C&C3, well, when it got in the shops, it was €5 already. So, no hard feelings.

Halfway westwood (and EA) got discarded by us. We started playing blizzard games.

Westwood in our location is nonono. Blizzard was yesyesyes.

Could you have helped us back then? I don't know.

And if cncnet works for me, than it works for me. And I rather keep loyal something that works for me.

Answering hundreds of topics with the exact same answer does that to certain people.

Embarrassing is the fact that the support topics over at C&C:Online are so apparent, not you :P

And I didn't call you stubborn, unless you 100% fit my description like Typhoon :P

You also seem to comparing me with him, why?

Where exactly?

I don't know him, I only said I had the same problem.

His problem is that he rather bitches than looks for/does something, symptomatic for 90% of the people posting in the C&C:Online support forum. I apologise if you have a genuine problem.

How can CnCNet and Blizzard servers connect nicely, but not C&C:Online?

And if cncnet works for me, than it works for me. And I rather keep loyal something that works for me.

Not saying you should ditch CnCNet (I like it myself), but if Generals/Zero Hour is already covered by someone else and CnCNet has a different focus, why ask CnCNet to cover it? :P C&C:Online's support has ladders and is directly provided by GenTool, and all of it was barely done and a lot of it is owed to pure luck.
