How do I get my animated avatar to work?

My avatar is an animated GIF file which works on other forums, but not this one. I've seen others with animated avatars here so it's possible. How did they get theirs to work? Thanx, bye.

Gif should work as long as the filesize is small enough. As evidenced by my avatar.

Ok, works now. I had to resize the image dimensions and make it smaller (from 100x140 -> 86x120), which for some reason actually made the file size larger Thank you gentlemen, live long and prosper.
