Still can't get into cnc, no connection

Iv'e been trying for 3weeks now. This is what ive done.

I contacted gamesurge and they said I'm connecting, said it was on the cnc side is why I'm not connecting. I've done a fresh reinstall on another hard drive. Cleaned out my reg files and I'm still getting this error message. I've opened up the ports on my firewall, Iv'e cleaned my dns cache. The game loads on xwis but not on cnc. Ive reinstalled red alert, yuri and cnc about 4 times now, still getting the same message. I'm lost so any help would be great, thks. Oh and ive completely uninstalled my AV software just to be sure its not that. No luck.

Searching for the error message and I found some people mentioning that they solved the "Registration Timeout" issue by renewing their IP. It is a long shot, but you can try it.

 

This can be doing by opening the Windows commandline (cmd) and doing these commands.

Note: This will temporarily disconnect you as your router gives you a new IP. So make sure you aren't doing any important Internet (or LAN) related things before doing these commands

 

ipconfig /release

 

then

 

ipconfig /renew

 

If that doesn't work then GameSurge might not like the network you are on or maybe the YR CnCNet client has issues on your setup. You can try downloading RA1 and checking if that works as it has a different client: http://cncnet.org/red-alert the online version is only a 15 MB download and includes the game.

K, I did what you said and renewed my ip address,, doesn't work. I also tried downloading red alert 1 and that does work, got onto the server with no problems. So that tells me there is something on cnc server blocking me from playing since red alert uses a diff connection.  I don't want to play red alert 1, just yuri, since that's where all my friends are.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

The log shows no received message from GameSurge before the connection is cut. Since you started encountering this issue after we moved the lobby to Gamesurge, it being a client issue seems unlikely. Then again, most people seem to have no issue connecting to GameSurge either. I'm afraid I don't have any ideas here.

I went through every red alert and yuri file in my reg and deleted them, also on computer, also I did try a vpn and it still wont connect to the server. I guess the only thing left is to buy a new hard drive and do a fresh windows install then install the game and cnc client.
