Hi folks... im old with Command & Conquer series but new with CnCNet. I have some questions for you:

-Is there any kind of automatic update to CnCNet client and games?

-Which option is better: download games from origin and after that install cncnet or download client and games from cncnet?

-Is there any difference between origin loaded C&C games and cncnet games? I think some kind of stability updates for newer os (windows 10 etc) but what kind of modifications if there is any? At the moment i cant play my origin based Tiberian Sun becouse game menu has some kind of bug (doesnt allow to go options menu or start new game)

-If i use C&C Generals with CnCNet, can i install mods to game? I like to play Contra-mod at Generals.

-Does CnCNet work at LAN without internet (we play LAN games sometimes with friends... usually we have internet but sometimes only in LAN)

I feel good to try this becouse i want my games to work in online but those questions needs to be answered and can someone tell me which options to choose: origin games+cncnet or fully cncnet based client+games?

Thanks

-KillerJoe

CnCNet has an automatic updater built in, but it will only update files needed for online games.

If you like to update your games with all needed fixes for singleplayer then get the following patches:

CnC1: http://nyerguds.arsaneus-design.com/cnc95upd/cc95p106/

Red Alert1: https://forums.cncnet.org/index.php?topic=1918.0

Tiberian Sun: https://forums.cncnet.org/index.php?topic=3438.0

If you are only interested in multiplayer then our installers are probably the better choice since they're really small.

But you can also download the full games from origin and apply our patches on top.

Our installers/patches will add all the needed fixes to get the game running on your windows 10, you also get map editors, config programs and a game launcher as a extra goodie in our installers/patches! There are also a lot of other fixes included for known crashes and awesome stuff like the high resolution patches for cnc1 and red alert1. Besides that, the games are the same (no remakes/clones)

We have no support for Generals :(

You can find a list with all supported games here: https://cncnet.org/download

Yes, LAN games work without internet connection too. CnCNet Supports Online/LAN/Skirmish
