no, I asked him about it, and he was all "huh, so THAT's what that code was. No sorry, removed it."

But maybe he restored it now he knows what it was? I dunno.

Reask , why other peoples must see a game when hosted it without CnCNet ? (obviously through wine)

How the game tell to others, that i hosted a game.

Ehh, this is more a matter of NOT HAVING Windows. C&C itself runs through WINE, but cncnet is a tray icon app... Wine only emulates Windows system calls for single programs, it's not an entire VM.

Isn't each wine process in it's own 'vm'

not really... Wine just translates system calls or something... it's not a virtual machine, or even an emulator.

(in fact, "Wine" means "Wine Is Not an Emulator")

I'll look into linux support again at some point then.

 

It's exam time for me atm, so there won't be an update for a few weeks.
