Hello everybody.

I'm up to making a new single player map and i cant figure out how to insert the briefing.

Can you help me with that ?

Briefing text is added to the map like shown below. Please not that line 4 is the maximum length. If your lines are longer they my be missing in game.  Add the below [briefing] the map by clicking the "T" in RAED by the minimap. This will open Text Editing model. Copy the [briefing] and use CTRL+V to paste it at the top of the map.

1=A critical supply convoy is due through this area in 25 minutes, but

2=Nod forces have blocked the road in several places. Unless you can

3=clear them out, those supplies will never make it to the front. The

4=convoy will come from the northwest, and time is short so work quickly.

 

If you want a blink space in between line use @@ like below.

I know of no max number lines but there can be some odd spacing bugs if you get around 10 lines.

In the offical maps the briefings are near bottom but RA1 doesn't seem to care how I organize my stuff thru RAED except maybe editing the units though the mission often plays just fine.

 

Also I like how if you made the briefing really long you will get a ''Next'' button which is odd since no official mission briefing is long enough for you do that.

Odd. C&C1 has no such limitation. The only limit it has is the total amount of characters of the whole text pasted together.

Going past cuases spacing bugs and words get cut off.

No, you can have as much lines as you want, but there is a total limit of characters, after that briefing just cuts off. On my experience that limit matches roundabout 2 pages on the briefing page / 10-12 lines with the length shown in the example above.

But that also may depend how often you use the @.
