AE35
Hi guys! Does anyone know if it is possible to get the sprites from C&C (or RA)? I have looked on the net, but in contrast to almost all other games, they seem to not exist Thanks!

In your cnc95 folder there should be a folder called XCC, which contains programs to help extract those files. XCC mixer.exe will let you extract the files. There's a bit more to it all if you're looking to edit, and if someone knows where there's a write up on how to do that, a link would be much appreciated... as it takes a while to write it all down. (It's also been a little while since I've edited, so I'd need to do some recalling first).
K4773
There is a well explained thread how to rip the sprites from the files: https://forums.cncnet.org/topic/1974-cc1ra1-converting-shp-files-tofrom-a-single-big-png-containing-all-frames/
fir3w0rx
I prefer to use SHP Builder... Using XCC Mixer, EXTRACT(right-click) the SHP/sprite from conquer.mix, then open it up in SHP Builder. From there you can EXPORT individual frames, animated gifs or an entire sprite sheet...

Wait, what? That's not a normal part of a C&C95 installation... On 4/29/2019 at 11:28 AM, K4773 said: By the way where can I find the sprites of the infantry and tanks in the files? Any idea? Uh. For C&C, it's just in there with all the rest, inside conquer.mix In RA, the infantry are in lores.mix/hires.mix if I remember correctly, for respectively the original DOS infantry and the ugly upscaled versions of RA95.
