Thats great I'm actually not sure how the sorting works in the YR client, hopefully it treats the promoted servers the same way as the officials and lists them on top, currently it looks like 2 servers are prefered by his YR client. Going to ask rampastring about it, just to be sure
-
I tested your server and promoted it, there should be more users on it now since it shows up on top of the list

Works for me, maybe it was only down a moment -
Should be in the game folder somewhere, except you run the game inside of the Program Files folder without having admin rights, then they should be here: %UserProfile%\AppData\Local\VirtualStore
-
that looks like you are using a 4:3 resolution on a 16:9 screen maybe, try to change your resolution to 1280x720 in the config program I'm not sure if that old custom installer is fully compatible with my patch, could be that some videos/missions are missing now. If there are any problems then try the latest installer from tore: http://tore29.com/tsins/TSinstaller3-beta10r6.exe

not yet, didnt touch google drive/youtube for 3 months, but seems like there are no more videos scheduled on youtube so i gotta take a look into it soon
-
Thanks for hosting it! Is it available for longer time? I could promote it then so it shows on top and gets more players on it

Need help to install the single player campaign!
FunkyFr3sh replied to Calleskaviar's topic in Red Alert
Hi! Welcome to the forums There are multiple ways to get the full game on your mac: 1. Use RA1installer.exe with the wrapper from PaulTheTall http://paulthetall.com/red-alert-mac/ 2. Use RA1installer.exe with PlayOnMac http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/playonmac_playonlinux/ 3. Use RA1installer.exe with Crossover (not free) https://www.codeweavers.com/products/crossover-mac -
Can't write name or save game in singleplayer skirmish.

remove TS-ddraw, then apply this patch: http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=3438.0 What kind of ts installation do you have? CD version? Ultimate Collection? -
1. Make sure you allow it in your firewall/anti virus and make sure you don't have multiple active internet connections (no wifi + cable at the same time) 2. Never heard about this one, would need to test it
-
pretty weird that ends up with 1360x768, maybe that somehow fixes it. I know that 768 height is working cause of 1024x768, so it is probably the 1366 that causes the problems. You should try 1366x768 in window mode, maybe it doesnt change to 1360 then
-
Red Alert (PortableRA) I don't think so The config program will switch your res to 1280x720 if you try to use 1366×768 (except the one from portableRA)

Someone has to create a PlayOnLinux script yet. Besides that, the Yuri's Revenge client has not been tested on linux yet by the creator. The other games should work fine though, I used to test everything on wine to make sure it runs as it should. All the installers (besides Yuri's Revenge) even detect linux and apply the needed .dll overrides for wine automatically. You'll have to wait for Rampastring to answer since he is taking care of the Yuri's Revenge client, maybe he knows what could be causing the modified files error

if you got kicked by spamserv then it will only last 5minutes -
Make sure you never use 1366×768 resolution, try custom res 1280x720
-
Where did you download the game? (Filename?) If you have portableRA + Windows 10 then you'll have to start the game in online mode once and fire up a skirmish or multi player game via cncnet to enable the windows 10 fix
-
If we remove the limit then we only get the noob bashing back, what about if we force the top 10 to play against each other and remove 50 points if someone is going to dodge?
-
I had once graphical problems too with an expired windows 7, maybe you should try to register it/get a serial
-
Start over with a clean installation, make you don't mix up newer installations with older patches like the 3.03 one Do a full web-installation + install CD2 if you don't have the CDs If you have the CDs, choose Full CD-Installation + install CD2 Download: http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/

Both services work very different, you cannot just merge them easily. It would mean that one would need to give up their way of doing, but that is probably not going to happen since everyone is just too proud of their work
-
You can do it with wine+winetricks dotnet 2.0 If that's too complicated then try Crossover

Is there a full setup guide?
FunkyFr3sh replied to RetroPerspectiveGaming's topic in CnCNet Discussion
If you just like to play online on our server without the need to mess with patches: http://downloads.cncnet.org/TiberianDawn_Online_installer.exe http://downloads.cncnet.org/RedAlert1_Online_Installer.exe http://downloads.cncnet.org/TiberianSun_Online_Installer.exe If you like to patch your first decade, get these: Tiberian Dawn: http://www.moddb.com/mods/command-conquer-unofficial-patch-106/downloads/cc95-v106c-revision-3-patch Red Alert: http://funkyfr3sh.cncnet.org/ Tiberian Sun: http://cnc-comm.com/community/index.php?topic=3438.0 Tiberian Dawn patch doesn't have a game launcher, so you will have to go to the game folder and start up CCConfig.exe to change your resolution, all the other games have the config available via the desktop icon All 3 mini online versions come with launcher+map editors+config, so it might be good to install those since they're easier to use and just work out of the box. Those versions can be installed even if you already have the games installed via first decade
