You need to copy the hotkeys cn2mc posted into your conquer.ini, then place the following files into your game folder: http://downloads.cncnet.org/Games/CommandAndConquer/hotkeys-and-extended-sidebar.zip

I just updated the game and hopefully 6player games are working now. I also noticed the game went Out Of Sync often on game start during my tests, hopefully this is fixed now too. I also fixed a crash that happened on game start. The reconnect timeout has been lowered slightly and the recon dialogbox shows now quicker. There is also a new patch to lower the CPU usage, but that is still WIP... Please let me know if there are still problems!

The others find your server automatically, the one who starts up the client in LAN mode first will become the server. Make sure you are both connected to the same router. Allow it in your firewall/anti-virus. If it still doesn't work, Right Click -> Run As Admin

The limit on the new server is 3 players per connection, it could be that it was raised to 4players recently but I didn't hear anything about it yet (I asked the gamesurge admins about that some time ago) The only thing you guys can do is playing a offline LAN game by selecting LAN at the login screen. If you like to play online then you would need to use multiple internet connections or you can also use a VPN/Proxy server

You have to open your game folder, it is somewhere here c:/program files/gruntmods.... In there you will find dune2000.exe and dune2000-spawn.exe, right click on each of them, go to properties, compatibility, enable Reduced color mode 16bit

yes, you can change the resolution in the config program. Window mode will also work

You should be able to copy it over from one pc to another, you might need to tweak the settings a bit if it doesn't work, try to enable DxWnd The problem you have is related to the path, there might be something weird in it, maybe a special char? As a last test, try to copy the installer directly to c:/ and start it from there

This could be related to the port guessing for those with shared connections, it will send a lot of packets to different ports trying to hit the right one and connect. You can turn the port guessing off in 2 different ways: 1. Forward your port, check the first post for all details. 2. Go to [settings]->[Game Settings]->[Game Port] and change the port to 1161. Only do that if you have such a broken router DO NOT change your port to 1161 if you have a working router cause this port change will lower your chance to connect to others a lot. Better choose solution 1, port forwarding.

Thanks yuz, i hope they come through. As for DIGA he commented me something really rude so I don't know if he will forgive me. And DIGA honestly was the only person who wasn't impersonated from my network. I'll take responsibility for the others though. ([email protected]) that was my gamesurge ID and that was used for impersonating THNDER, yuz and ifuc. Notice the telus.net thats my internet provider which means ALL my gamesurge logins from any computer will show that. ([email protected]) that was the fake DIGA's gamesurge ID. Both are the same, one is the hostname of your provider and the other one is the ip. I just asked the guys if we can lower the ban time, cause I think 6month is way too much. Could manage to lower it to 1month I still think it's a good idea to let the players decide the ban time, been already doing it before and probably will continue like this. But maybe should set a 1month limit (or maybe 2month)

Maybe try to make the map with edwin next time, use ra-ed for triggers and preplaced buildings/units only You should add 8 spawns (just add 2 at each location), I think the only maps that work with less spawns are hte official ones, if I remember right it had something to do with the Official=Yes key in the map The game will always pick the first location randomly and spawm all others as far as possible, so no one will start on the same location if you use 4 players in a map with 8 spawns

You placed way too many things on the map, too bad raed doesn't have a limit like edwin, would be cool if it would have stopped you at some point! I removed the terrain and started it up with just the trees, only 50% of them actually showed up. Remove half the trees and also remove all these little rocks and it should work

Can you check the logs of malwarebytes and see what file it was and the what detection? Without that information there is no way to report the problem to malwarebytes and it can't be fixed Strange enough that it happened after you played, so it might not even be related to the games or cncnet

Ok that is bad, problem doesn't seem to be related to our code. Must be a bug in the tool we use to create the installers which is Inno Setup. Does the full game installer for tiberian sun also fail this way? http://tore29.com/tsins/TSinstaller3-beta11r6.exe

Well, that one at least shows the installer was started properly, it failed to show the logfile though. I updated it once more (last try now)

Not sure what it could be, I guess we can enable the logging and see what exactly happens. Do you know how to start a program with parameters? If you do, start the installer using this parameter: /LOG="TiberianSun.log" If you don't know how to do it, then download the following batch file and place it in the same directory as the installer, use the batch file to start it up.
