Yuri's Revenge - keep menus in correct aspect ratio?
Milkey Wilkey replied to TaxOwlbear's topic in Red Alert 2
are you sure it is HDMI on both sides? if so, try to change desktop resolution to see, if options you mention became chengable if that works try to change resolution back - it will maintain your options -
Yuri's Revenge - keep menus in correct aspect ratio?
Milkey Wilkey replied to TaxOwlbear's topic in Red Alert 2
That happens because your monitor is probably connected via VGA cable hence it recieves analog signal, wich most todays monitors stretch from 4:3 to 16:9 for resolutions below 1280x960. to prevent that you have to connect it through DVI or HDMI, that should solve the problem. if you use external monitor with a notebook, then you have to set it to duplicate laptop's main screen. if it still happens with digital signal, then the problem is 95% in misconfigured driver -
looks nice! special thanks for terrace

that would be really useful and helpful, thank you) -
sorry, my mistake about rightclick. in terms of controls they added radar events, assigning team numbers, ctrl+click to select all of the type. and I just checked up, there were no quing in both of them  BTW it was also back compatible with dos W2, so no differences here. here is more detailed changes list oh, and they raised sound quality anyway, I don't get your point. You say to play the games as it was. So what the purpose of all that pathces you and other good people did? patches that not only fix bugs but also adding significant features that wastly changes the gameplay
-
many game developers backport features from their newer games to older ones, like with Doom/Doom2 (engine updates), Quake/Quake2 (OpenGL renderer), Warcraft2/Starcraft (Windows support, Battle.net support, right-click action, production queuing and much much more features from SC) Half-Life/Half-Life2 (Source engine) and much more. Heck, even westwood did that with C&C/RA - windows port, higher resolution! they just forget/were too lazy to fix stuff they knew need to be fixed
-
yep, that was cash
-
Straightforward bugs and oversights are not "future game features" too. btw i'd rather have features from newer games than gamebreaking ones. for example right click on minimap to center screen on that spot over 9000x9000 resolution that makes minimap useless and benefits players with large screens

wow, that's cool, only this morning I thougt how much mobile version sucks and voila  but desktop version now looks a little bit confusing is it supposed to be like that? and also new posts button seems to show ALL unread posts from the beginning of time

for thouse who posts videos on cncnet channel - why do you name every video in the most uninformative way? cncnet online multyplayer gameplay, ok, I've got it. Find something interesting is such a pain, especially for TS games, where 95% of em is who brings their disr or MKII to enemy base first wins. just adding GvN and 1v1 or 2v2 will significantly improve channel value -
I know about DOSBox, but the idea is to have both original feel or rather viewable battlefield and bugfixes. same goes for RA
-
don't know where to ask, but is it possible to add 320x200 mode (or rather a DOS mode) to 1.06? yeah, I'm of that kind of people who don't likes fighting with ultra high speed ants on a field, viewed from space

lol, and russians a RED in RED alert

I heard something about Nod color scheme is different to any other in TD. can anyone explain why? and also in the beta it seems to look slightly different

Had to share these awesome A-10 photos
Milkey Wilkey replied to sgtmyers88's topic in Mod Discussion
wow that looks AMAZING. I wish Iwas there -
you do understand what I mean, no need to expand this far. it's just an oddity of ingame timer
-
don't forget they might also avoid triggering landmines (might not though). 2 odd things about RA: it can't decide, what aspect ratio it uses and it is not really a real time strategy. 1) while most of the graphics was designed to be stretched, some movies and screens where not. I also believe that cameos where made 1:1 for ra95 2) I mean "real" time. if you set game speed slider below 3 the game will run too slow compared to real life clock, and everything from 3 and above is just too fast. you can compare it by using in-game timer also quite odd is that ore silo in DOS RA uses beta cameo
