  1. is nobody reading what i said? why would know let someone spectate that you dont know? its not the feature that would make cheating possible. its people being stupid and agreeing to specs they dont know.
  2. would be cool if someone in charge could comment on my requested features. funkyfr3sh?

I suck at FF but people asked for this, so enjoy me being useless and getting my ass kicked by ridiculous KOs (4 games): https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zxexPrHq9dA&index=1&list=PLeYx3cu8N-GinO83Vn5nm9Sa_P7YwsrT0

i was asked to do this, how to expand from TL: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6nsdy-BFvfM turn the volume up. i used my microphone to record my mouse clicks.
  5. there is nothing in this game i would love more than to get some got recordings with 8 great players, but people are in different timezones (east coast/west coast USA, europe, korea, australia) and most of us have jobs. maybe we can make it happen. i dont know
  6. as nod, most people use harpies to scout BM or BR, as they usually have to get more refs early on and wont have sams right away. also you can then use the harpy to damage power plants or take out discmen in case your ally wants to attack them. to scout the other spots you can repair mid bridge and send a nod buggy over it. also most GDI players land their JJs outside of the enemy base before going in, so you can fill an APC with light infs and scout with them. RM and LM have similar jobs to TR and BL: ATTACK EARLY ON. doesnt mean that you have to 1ref, but you shouldnt make more than 2refs if you dont have a good reason to. and no, getting scouted is no reason to 3ref bunk. also, you shouldnt die to 1 dizz or 1 set of engs, so make sure you make defense right after sending your first attack out. if you really want to do something different you can go 3-4 refs, repair mid bridge and send an infantry rush over to slow BL/LM/RM/TR down. can be countered easily by enemy disc men on the bridge though, also has to be quite fast, so that the enemy doesnt have bombs yet. dont be afraid to die the first couple of games. finding the right balance between attacking and not dying early on is a hard skill to master on FF. thats why many weaker players shy away from going offense early, but if you dont try it, you will learn how to do it.

its pretty much the most common BO on ff as BL,LM,RM,TR (with 2 harvs out of warf). on these spots there is usually no reason to make more than 4 light infs. 2 to scout your allies, 1 to scout own base and 1 to scout expos. on terrace however, you wont get away with this little inf. its crucial to not get scouted, so you need to have at least 5 infs to scout and another 6-9 to anti scout. even then, most players go for an early inf rush, which is really hard to defend with this BO. thats why you will most likely see this BO only in BL on terrace with the additional money from blue tib. I cant tell you exactly how many inf you can get away with making. but you can just open an empty game and try it out. if you are going for 4 harvs/2refs overall, you can usually make buildings non stop, so try to get to that point without going broke, then you are OK.
  8. most of us play the game for the competition - otherwise we would just play vs cpu. so if you have a really bad player in a 2v2 game it takes the whole competition out of it. it is hard to differentiate between the noobs that actually want to become a better player and the people who just want to have fun for a couple of days. i am sure if you messaged anyone privately, they would at least let you watch the game, as long as you dont lag. that being said, a lot of us can be dicks sometimes, but its nothing personal. also, stop calling people retarded
  9. some kind of replay function would of course be great, but i think its way too much work to implement. still i dont see any risks with spectators being allowed in ladder games. just dont let people spectate that you dont trust.
  10. it is like that already. but if you really want there is lots of ways to secretly communicate out of the game
  11. well its up to both sides to allow spectators. if you dont trust the other guy and/or the spectator, you dont have to let him in
  12. Would it be possible to implement a hotkey to "Show all HP bars" (buildings/units)? I like to record games as a spectator and in big fights you lose track of which units are damaged and which not, and I cant just click through all of them. This key would of course only work as a spectator, as finding the damaged units in the enemy army is a skill in itself. Then I am thinking about a 9th/10th slot in the game lobbies, to spectate 8 player games. Also, please make sure that you can have spectators in the upcoming ladder! thx

if you want to sell your radar, you need to build a component tower before you do so, because otherwise you dont get the SAM tech. some people like to keep their radar when they are using a high economy BO, as they dont need the money. but i think even then you should learn to play without it, as in some BOs you absolutely have to sell it. also every minor advantage can make the difference. you have to watch the map anyway, as you want to spot enemy disruptor/apc right when it comes out of the warf, not just when it leaves the base. to defend against disruptors you want sams and titans, so the longer you delay your warfactory/radar, the more likely it is that youre just gonna die. usually, for every BO that involves making more than 4 refs before warf, you need to have good anti scouts and also want your enemies to be scouted, or you have to know their playstyle.

youre right, you can even do it earlier. i was thinking of the MK, that would shoot his anti air missiles if being told to attack carry before its landing

  22. feel free to change grammar in case its wrong. i will keep adding these as they come to mind Tiberian Sun: Attacking from the South gives you a 1 Cell range advantage for certain units. (I think this is also true for Tiberian Sun, maybe someone can confirm this. I am pretty sure I have read something like that somewhere.) Use the "Q" Hotkey to move and fire at the same time or to make your units go to different locations one after another. Building on Low Power is 50% slower. A full harvester of green tiberium is worth 700$, a harvester of blue tiberium 1000$. As long as the respective production building is alive, you dont need to keep technology buildings. You can sell them to get money and a couple of infantry back, and keep the building options. A disruptor does more damage when shooting diagonally through buildings. If angled correctly, it can one-shot refineries and warfactories by "force firing" to the opposite corner. By using "alt+click" harvesters and other vehicles can crush infantries, can even be combined with "Q". Making a harvester in the warfactory costs 1400$, building a refinery and selling it afterwards costs only 1000$ and even leaves additional 5 infantry behind. After giving your carryall the command to land on a unit, you can order that unit to fire at a target, so it will keep firing until the carryall lands. It will also start shooting right after being released again. Orca-Bombers tend to waste a lot of bombs when being told to attack a building. You can "powerbomb" by flying them close to the building first, and then attacking it. Use "ctrl+click" to force fire. Can be used on the ground to extend the range of disc men. Select a production building and "alt+click" anywhere on the map to set a rally point for units produced in that building. Three standing light infantries will kill a single light infantry walking by. If you want to protect your base from disruptor drops with RPGs, place them a couple of cells apart, so that they cover each others blind spots. Five banshees can one-shot a disruptor. Ten banshees can destroy a main building (construction yard/warfactory/refinery) in one shot.

    "Useless" units

They are very useful against mass infantry because of their area of effect damage. Also you can use them defensively against engineer attacks and they do good damage against buildings.

    "Useless" units

The wolverine is not being used because it is unnecessary. There is no need for an anti-infantry-vehicle, as (almost) every other unit you can build in the gdi warfactory can run over infantry anyway. Also the APC is more useful for scouting. I like the game how it is, in my opinion the only proper way to "fix" the wolverine would be to remove it completely. But then, where is the downside to just not make any? And using it to humiliate your enemy is a good point actually.
