Perhaps controversial, but what about anonymous names in tournament games.

TRZ must have been winning to have an expansion that big!

When was this announced? Glad it's going to happen, should save a lot of arguments. Let the mod mapping community argue among themselves as to what type of maps they want.

One ladder for mod maps and one ladder for official WW maps, no if's, no but's no maybe's.

Quick match is fantastic if there are enough players to be able to make good matches. However, I think we may be kidding ourselves if we think there will be enough to players to make a quick match system work a la star craft etc. This may be a somewhat far out suggestion but what about making people anonymous to each other in tournie games (until after the game). You could have a sort of general rank that corresponds with your position in the ladder, say General for the top x of players, then colonel for the next x and perhaps private for low ranked players etc etc. By being anonymous it makes dodging less likely to happen but by having ranks you know you are playing players around you or above your rank etc. You could also then set a filter to stop generals playing privates etc to stop newb bashing or set a limit as to how many times a general ranked player plays a private ranked player. Just food for thought, perhaps we can have a discussion rather than an argument about such things.

I'm not offended by such a request. I think most people would be in favour of some additional colours.

One ladder for WW maps and one ladder for Mod maps. That keeps both sides of the TS community happy, it is also much easier to manage and save's having to create a list of sanctioned mod maps that do not contain game modifications i.e. speed. Newb bashing is a problem but at the moment there arent enough players competing in the ladder to ensure that newb bashing doesn't pay. The more players start to play competitively, the more points the better players will be able to accumulate from playing the players around them which will outweigh the 250 games, 100% win ratio at 1 point each. Perhaps a way to remove the bias towards newb bashing is to make the number of points lost for playing someone around your rank less and simply award the winner more. Also, is there currently a time limit on tournie games, i.e. game only gets recorded / a win or loss is awarded if it lasts over a certain time? In the WW days this was 3 mins to allow you to quit if the game was horribly laggy and to put off people giving masses of free wins (would take a lot of time to amass lots of wins at 1 point per win every 3 mins).

Hi all, Since yesterday I see both RA1 and TS games on the left hand side in the lobby. Before I would only see TS games. I have both RA1 and TS installed but previously would only see games of the CNCnet game client I launched. Is there a way to filter to only show one game type or at least order them by game type? At the moment they are ordered alphabetically which is quite confusing. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Cheers, En3rgy

This is getting somewhat silly and overly personal. Anyone who says Trz isn't one of the best players is either on a complete wind up or completely stupid. From what I have seen of Benny so far he is also very very good and even Trz would ultimately admit that Benny is one of the better players on the server at the moment. This is no slight on Benny but from what I have seen, I wouldn't quite put him in the same bracket as Trz, carnage, c0rps, Kapa, ray and co just yet. However, for someone who has supposedly been out of the game for as long as he says he has (assuming he is a he of course, equality and all that), he is showing some impressive form and will probably be up there before long. Benny is certainly capable of beating the top guys and has shown he can. I don't care much for this he said she said crap and people bite far too easily.

Sorry slight moment of dementia, I knew you were both! Don't know why I put that, saw the cigar username and thought "he's also one I'd forgot to mention" without realising I had but using your other alias. One more I forgot to mention was sol, who seems to have vanished!

Two players I forgot to add we're golden and seb (i0nst0rm). Neither are on much which is why I forgot them.

Standout players that I have come across are trz, carnage, ray, t1ght, c0rps, kapa and mola. There are, however, a group of other very good players that can give all if the above a good game if not beat them on occasions.

This is nothing against Mecha for showing how it is done but perhaps the admins should delete his post immediately to stop people from copying it and actually cheating.

Some good players have stopped playing or are playing less (Mola, Kapa, Ray, T1ght4life etc). The ones that still play regularly and I believe are consistently (but not always) a league above are... Carnage TRZ Phenonema (Nod)

In my opnion if a game recons it should be a draw, regardless of the current state. If someone disconnects then its a win for the person who doesn't disconnect. If someone consistently recons then you can just avoid playing them. You can be sure of one thing, if you try to award points based units, buildings etc without any context as to how the game is progressing you will end up with eleventy billion times more bickering than we already have. Also, if someone works out what they need to have in order to simply be ahead, you will end up with people either intentionally reconning (OOS) or disconnecting. Keep it simple.

The ladder is looking very impressive. Great work devs.

I tell you what, why don't we all just do the folloiwng; - WW players stick to playing WW maps and stop abusing modders. - Mod map players stick to playing mod maps and stop abusing WW players. - Those who like both play both. Just play whichever you enjoy the most.

Nice video's. Be good to see some 2v2's and some games vs. some other top players. Keep them coming!
