Yah thanks for the opinion guys. My thought of upgrading to win10 is from a friend that said when he upgraded his pc went faster. I was kinda skeptical anyway.

So guys, im in win 7 now and aside from the usual issues I have no problems. However my OS (GWX.exe) keeps notifying me to upgrade to win10. You think its a bad idea to upgrade?

Yes I agree. I had experienced it a lot of times. Seems that my ISP too had bad routes or mappings. I dont know why but in times it happens I fired up my VPN to get connected.

try copying the entire cd to your hard drive and install it from there

i noticed that after 2.04 i think that the update will come after when you close the client not like before that it will auto update once you opened the client. For me the update should be before we logged in the lobby coz its more convenient. Also the status f available games is a bit delayed. Like you still see a game availaible to join when its already not or had already started

ye sometimes it happens to me. I usually log on later or use a vpn to get pass that error

im sure that the new update makes the game lags. I tried 3 times playing with only myself and its still lags every now and then. before the update, everything was ok.

so i just put all maps at the ra2 folder not the yuri folder regardless of the extension? I wouldn't advise placing all the maps in the Maps > Custom folder, as some may be corrupt and the rendering might break the client. Do a bunch at a time. Custom maps for CnCNet YR online can be put into your game directory in the folder > Maps > Custom. For any other online, move them out into the root of your game directory (where ra2.exe and etc live). Hi. I did that also but still when I join a game where there the new map is it still cant see it. BTW i noticed that in my Yuri Folder there is a "Maps\Yuri's Revenge" Folder. Inside it were PNG previews of maps and maps I think but its file extension was .maps

In what way? The map uploading/downloading should be fixed. a while ago i was able to join several games where some of us got the failed download message thingy.

the map upload download thing I think is gettin worse

since the last update the new client is sluggish. hosted games appears so slow and takes long and even if you click ready in the game it doesnt show up the green ready sign.

Hmmm, odd. Tell me which maps (and from which link) are you trying to add so that I can try to add them to my game when I get a chance. There might be something wrong with the maps themselves. There were several maps i downloaded from a link given by a player since the upload from player to server thing filed. anyway , as much as possible the best fix would be to have the server upload thing working. Also, I noticed that if theres a new map successfully downloaded by a player from the server(upload by another player) the player should reconnect to see the map. Otherwise even if the player had successfully gotten the map and was not able to view the preview, that player will not load when the game starts.

yep it doesnt have. Its working perfectly btw and even download maps by other players. The only thing is that I cant manually add maps through that Maps/custom thing.

hi guys. my ra2 game doesnt have a maps folder. I made a maps folder/custom and added the maps there but seems the game still cant find them. I also restarted the client. any ideas why?

IDK who and How maybe theres a master thread name DOWNLOAD SURVIVAL MAPS and in there would be sub threads by different map makers with their maps. Good Luck with your maps and hope you will be able to perfect the AI so you would be able to finalize all your maps
