  1. Yea keep things basic standard Westwood settings on standard maps, 0 units, 10k repacks on. What would be ideal would be a tournament function similar to XWIS qm. Like at the first menu where u click cncnet for custom games have a tab for tournament games. Obviously map match up's and sw settings per match type settings would have to be organised for this but we can easily provide that info if it could be added somewhere down the line.

  3. Guys given the amount of players interested this will be a 3v3 tournament. Some players already have teams and some don't.   4. Hey guys, as a lot of you are aware cncnet was intending a ladder for YR. As of now this isn't going to happen unless we as a community make it happen. I spoke with Cncnet developers and basically it's not happening because none of the developers here like Yr and don't have the time. I asked about some of us making a donation/paying someone to do it and was told this was a no go. Doesn't really leave many option's, but basically we need to find a developer from within the community. Any thought's or idea's on the matter would be welcome.

    A ladder on YR will definitely increase activity. There's player's at XWIS, QQ and GR who have all indicated the moment it appears they will make an appearance. I think it will take some time, but if eventually it gets a qm function activity will most certainly take a boost.
  6. It's not really, ra2 mode on cncnet is nothing like ra2 at xwis. They removed a few units and by the looks of it didn't do much else. It's also limited by some of YR's functions. E.g. on ra2 u can make as many Tanya as u like, on ra2 mode ur limited to 1 like yr. There was a few other differences I noticed aswell.
  7. Barracks, warfac's, mcvs, naval yards and afcs, the more you have the faster the unit production. Once you reach 10 making more makes no difference. How many miner's you need depends on the map and your strategy. As for rushing, you gotta force ur opponent to spend cash on defenses, if you can, aim for power or miner's this will slow your opponent down a lot.

  9. In my experience having a tournament set on 1 specific date rarely work's, my thought's was to spread it over a week or so.

  11. I am a "top pro" and I say that Allied > Soviet on RA2. That's assuming that you have two equally skilled players. Of course a "top pro" Soviet player will always defeat a "noob" Allied player on RA2, but when it's two "top pro" players versing each other, then the Allied player has the edge. And again, you're forgetting about the price. What does a Battle Fortress cost, $ 2000? I can tell you that 5 Rhinos cost a whooping $ 4500. I disagree with this completely it depends on the map. Ive competed at the top of ra2 aswell and 9/10 times its a soviet player at the top, Sov's are easier to play, that's why its generally sov player's who sit at the top of the Ra2 ladder. Also this is YR we are talking about not ra2. Your pricing is also pretty inaccurate as to fill a bf (4 ggi and seal ussually) is another £2600+2k bf - 4.6 k
  12. +1 Best way to kill a bf is to split and trap it between 2 sets of rhino's where possible. Also a sentry gun renders a ggi bf pretty much useless when defending.

So I know what I'm talking about. Soviets did get a little bit better on Yuri's Revenge with the addition of the Industrial Plant, but they are still the weakest faction. People think that Soviets are stronger just because they have 1 single tank (rhino tank) which is "better" than the allied counterpart (grizzly tank). But this is a fallacy. The rhino tank isn't "better" than the grizzly tank at all. The rhino tank costs 900 $ as opposed to grizzly tank's 700 $ price tag. Obviously, costing 200 $ more, the tank is expected to have proportionally stronger armor. It also shoots a bit stronger but the allied counterpart shoots faster and moves a lot faster too. The tanks are very balanced, rhino being a slow and heavy expensive piece of shit while the allied tank is a light, fast and maneuverable vehicle. What's unbalanced is the entire army that the allies have... Mirage, Prism, Rocketeers, free Paradrops, Ore Purifier, Spy, etc. The rhino tank is literally a fucking sitting duck. When it gets killed by 2 allied planes, rocketeers or a free paradrop you're suddenly down by 900 $. Absolute nonsense. Your thinking of ra2, not yr. I completely disagree with saying Soviets are the weakest faction, generally speaking on YR Yuri>Sovs>allied> Yuri. That bieng sayed SvY is only difficult because players spam rhinos. The key to winning vs Yuri as soviet is siege choppers. They own everything yuri can throw at you and they are great for 'hit n run' attacks. If u get enough siege, you won't even need an ic.
  20. Mental omega online is based off cncnet. It's a pretty good game but all your ra2/yr knowledge is useless as everything is different.
  21. Are you looking to implement a ladder based only in custom tournament games? Has the option of a 'qm' function been considered? Also will the ladder operate in the same style as ra1/ts on cncnet or more like the XWIS scenario?

  23. its a pretty sucky tactic but what u do is tell the engi/seal to go into the transport vehicle, (ifv/flak) and while its heading in there hold 'z' and click the building u want them to attack/capture. Release 'Z' once the engi/seal is in the transport vehicle.
  24. not at all, most units are effective against yuri, you just have to know how and when to use them.
